Our newest story comes from Augenstein, a very talented producer and DJ from Halle Germany. He has caught our attention with his latest EP on renowned label Random Collective wich came out early this year. His music is a mixture of spacey, downpitched sounds, melodic and organic ingridients, all held together with deep and seductive basslines. Dubnotic X Spaceship Earth - Mountain Dub

“Humming With The Wind” pays homage to the element of air. This downtempo piece elegantly interweaves invoking Spanish verses, courtesy of singer "Amaruka Sol," summoning the very essence of wind, air, and breath. At its core, the track weaves the mystical tapestry of the Eagle and Condor merging — an age-old prophecy on the brink of realization.

Emerging from the forest, a hummingbird flits through the arrangement. This is a symbolic bridge between heavens and earth, uniting cardinal directions and dimensions at the heart.

Eric Lannos's nimble fingers masterfully pick the nylon guitar, alongside the Pan flute, opening a portal to the mystic landscapes of South America. The Native American flute calls from the North, harmonizing past and present. Deep bass and lively percussions drive the track along to create a sense of awakening of the spirit to dance along with the wind.

“Humming With The Wind” is the 5th track from the coming album called “Home”  a collaborative project between Shaman’s Dream and Geometrae, featuring multi-instrumentalists, vocalists, and cutting edge electronic production.

The story is told through the intention of each song, and woven together for the listener to observe each element through the body as a felt experience.

The album begins with the sunrise, as each day begins for us here. The seed is then planted with intentions to grow and flourish, to reach the highest potential as a blooming flower. The 5 elements are explored: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. The 5 elements are needs to transform the seed into a flower, for the fullest expression to be witnessed. Once the flower has bloomed, we welcome the moon, to tap into our psychic senses and merge into the dream world once again, to begin the cycle renewed, to return Home.

"In my own time I make a lot of bass music like digi dub, dubstep, garage, dub techno and jungle, a lot of it doesn't see the light of day besides DJ sets or occasionally live sets because most of it is just for fun. I thought it'd be a good excuse to put together a dub inspired mix with all original music. Inside there is two remixes from this year, one Turner Street Sound forthcoming track and the rest of the songs I've made over the past few years. If I'm bored I’ll sometimes just make a little digi dub track as almost a practice, I like to avoid days where I do nothing and if I can't be bothered getting too deep it's a fun practice to do something that's productive. So the mix has a few tracks I put together for fun and a couple other bits may come out at some point, covers a few bpms and will hopefully be a good one to enjoy with the devils lettuce or a drink in the sun."

A project unlike any other comes to Desert Trax this fall. Between 2009 and 2012, psychedelic bass producer Twin Shape created but left unfinished three songs that tied him inextricably to a certain time and place. As the years went on, these pieces remained rough and untouched, until he sought the help of three fellow producers to help him complete these songs.
The result is the 'Auxiliatus' EP. From the Latin to support, Alterra, Shwamp , and COAM stepped in to give Twin Shape distance, perspective, and help to revisit these original creations and give them a contemporary feel on Seeded, D&N and Glimpse, respectively. Three tightly wound compositions that have spanned nearly a decade since their inception now come to life with throbbing low end and alien implications. A strong recommendation for fans of Bird of Prey, Phutureprimitive, and Ott.

Standout Desert Trax contributor Key-G steps in for a remix of the Alterra collab, Seeded, to round out this 4-track set. The Auxiliatus EP is finally available September 13th.

bass music sculptors Brendan and Elijah. Hailing from the pristine
landscape of the South Island of Aotearoa, this duo’s collaborative
odyssey has conjured up high-fidelity hybrid dub-styles on internationally
acclaimed labels Shanti Planti, Dubmission, Desert Trax and Street Ritual
At the root of the Shankara NZ style are the sounds of jungle, dubstep,
techno and latin with a gentle orbit of ambient textures. This culmination
of original soundscapes, innovative composition and foundation
influences tethers together a unique, grounding, yet energetic listening
and connecting experience for any dancefloor or audience.
Shankara NZ have etched themselves as a festival staple throughout their
