Healing is always a side effect of consciousness. Sickness is always a side effect of unconsciousness.

Healing is always the result of a choice for consciousness or a 
conscious choice.

As long as you are unconscious to the source of whatever the symptom is, the healing can never occur.

Healing is not what we are aiming for, it's consciousness.
