Shannon Lee grew up in Cleveland, Ohio determined to be a country music star. Shannon recorded an original CD titled The Long Road, a collection of songs that showcases her unique soulful and raspy country sound. A sound completely her own, however, you can still hear the influences of her favorite female vocalists: Trisha Yearwood, LeAnn Rimes, Patsy Cline, Jennifer Nettles & JoDee Messina.

Shannon enjoys working with other talent. She has written and performed as a duo with Nashville guitarist/songwriter, Joe Rieg. The duo’s musical chemistry propelled the two to headline acoustic shows while collaborating on a song called “Our Wedding Day” which the two cowrote together.  Shannon performed the song at her sister’s wedding in 2010. Shannon and Joe also recorded tracks from Shannon’s CD “The Long Road” in an acoustic format.

Over the years, Shannon has auditioned for American Idol, Nashville Star, Can  You Duet and The Colgate Country Showdown. She also was invited to appear on a  CMT special called Rascal Flatts “Invitation Only.” That aired in November 2010. Shannon has had countless opportunity to meet some of country music’s top recording stars. Here are some of the pictures from her collection.

Shannon Lee has been a top local artists on Cleveland’s country station WGAR’s Artist On Demand. Her song, “Lately” is a crowd favorite and has been played on 99.5 WGAR.

 Being career oriented and working two jobs most of her life, has fueled her determination to pursue music dreams as well. Shannon believes that you have to make things happen for yourself: dream it, see it, believe it then achieve it. “I’ve always felt country music was where I am supposed to be, making timeless country music that can move an entire audience of fans.” As far as The Long Road, Shannon remains optimistic, “Most importantly, I’m a dreamer because “All greatness starts with a dream!”
