Shannon Weeks was born and raised in Mountain Top PA just south of the city of Scranton.  Shannon is no stranger to country music and country living itself.  Growing up in the 90's, her first exposure to country music was the likes of Anne Murray and Loretta Lynn. Under the tutelage of a local musician, she learned how to play violin, mandolin, guitar, trumpet, sing and read music.  Throughout her teens she cantored in church, sang at festivals and sat in with popular local bands.  Shannon quickly grew in popularity after becoming lead singer in local cover band, Crossfire.  During the two years in which Crossfire existed, Shannon began writing her own songs and realized the limitations of the band.  After partnering with an experienced local musician, she entered the studio to record six of her original works.  Over the next year she continued honing her stage and vocal performance which gained the respect of Ed Grasavage, retired, former music promoter for Toby Keith and Martina McBride.  Ed managed Shannon for the following year, of which she performed over 100 gigs while fronting local band, Hillbilly D'lux, some of which were in front of crowds well into the hundreds.  A lifelong dream to move to Nashville, TN came to fruition in 2013 when Shannon realized she could go no further in the PA scene.  Now armed with a collection of 13 original songs and having lived in Nashville for almost one year, Shannon has been working her way into the local scene through playing songwriter's nights and has been cast in commercials, and the popular network TV show, Nashville.  Talented and ambitious, with a down to earth charm, Shannon Weeks is most certainly poised for the next step in her journey.
