This song was conceived by myself ( with crucial music contributions from 17 year old whiz kid from Portsmouth , Blake Powell ) - about the concept of love and time being enemies....the last night you spend with someone special to you - as a musician i know this feeling all too well....you are happy to be having this time with this person - but you would love time to stop - but it always continues like a juggernaut - and is love`s greatest enemy. The arrangement and the strings were also done by a very talented 17 year old called Blake Powell (Hazeldene) - and it is an honour and a privilege to be working with such a talented young man...

I had a fantastically intense time writing this song. The lyrics are based on a true story and this song has a colourful history spanning 8 or so years about a person I met - fell for - split up with and saw again...so its complicated....I am really proud of these lyrics....hope you like the song!!!!

Shanthan has been professionally active in the entertainment business since 1996 and his career and life has been both varied and interesting ever since then. He had for many years been a regular name on the Musical Theatre Scene since graduating with a History Degree from the University of Natal in 1999. Starting his career at Themi Venturas Productions he has since been in such shows like Good Vibrations , The Guitar That Rocked The World , The Doowah Boys , Route 66 has played Pharoah in Joseph and Riff Raff in Rocky and for many years was a regular at The Dockyard Theatre in Durban as well as the Barnyard Theatre nationwide. He is also well travelled - plying his trade in Turkey for 4 seasons , performed in the United Kingdom and is currently on entertainment contract in Egypt in 2014 where he has developed a fearsome reputation as a credible and dynamic front man and vocalist with both local and international audiences.

In 2010 Shanthan started focussing on his songwriting - and has cultivated a sound which is quickly gaining the attention of listeners and industry professionals alike in his beloved South Africa , the United Kingdom , Ireland , Russia and Germany where he has developed small but loyal followings from his many travels. He is also able to converse in the Dutch language and also in basic Russian and German. In 2013 Shanthan decided to enter the UK Songwriting Competition with only basic acoustic arrangements - a competition which is open to songwriters worldwide where anywhere between 6000 to 8000 songs are entered every year in 15 different categories with top international judges from the music industry. With 4 song entries he reached 3 semi-final placings and his song 4 this Woman placed as a finalist in a category. Known for being vocally versatile and dynamic on stage - he is currently searching for the right producer who is able to take his material to the next level and make it come alive....material which he is quietly confident about...as the world of songwriting excitingly beckons....
