Underrated and not Appreciated, Cant find this Classic Album anywhere!

the debut album of Canadian hip hop production team Da Grassroots, released November 9, 1999 in the United States. It was released independently on Conception Records. The album features MCs from Toronto's underground hip hop scene. "Price of Livin'", "Thematics", and "Body Language" are singles from the album.

The album received high critical acclaim. Amazon.com gave the album a favorable review, calling the group "Masters of understated musical eloquence," also stating "This is what good music sounds like. Allmusic gave it 4 out of 5 stars, stating "All in all, this album is a great example of the talent north of the border that has often been overlooked by the mass media channels.

Da Grassroots - Body Language (Ft Saukrates & Choclair)

A first-person chronicle of an all-night house-party implosion, told wholly by the host with quoted lines marking the guest, as petty sparks flare until hospitality mutates into open violence.

Nee, hij hoort er niet bij.
Of juist staat het hier vol – boos-boos-boos, grens voorbij.

Heb jij het zo naar je zin? De coke is passé,
rook beneden, geen projectiel naar mijn café-raam, nu, oké?
"Het is een grapje, het doet geen schaden en weegt toch niks?".
Of het nu veren zijn of doek zonder verdriet,
het blijft zwaar in mijn hoofd, een beton-dynamiet.
Gast of indringer? Kies één stijl.
Ik sluit je buiten op en hoor je schedel die krijt als een huil.
JIj erdoor verdrietig, het doet me enkel lachen.
Grenzen trekken is natuurlijk hetzelfde als buitensporig verharden.

Ogen ontmoeten mij – te veel gevraagd, verklaar’d,
je voelt je niet meer fijn – wat is jouw eer nog waard?
Ik kook, jij lacht met de mensen van mij,
niet die van jou. “Praat nou even met me,” gezeur zonder zij.

Drie keer is wet, maar niks wordt hier verwarmd.
Ik ben geen kapitein – flikker op uit de crew.
“Dan ga ik weg, feest is klaar, laat me naar huis… laat me nu.”

Ik sprint ernaartoe, plicht knaagt als plicht,
'Niet gastvrij benaderd,' spiraal in jouw zicht.
Tot jij net zo gestoord bent als ik in mijn brein,
honderd keer 'waarom'– tot je merkt: jouw vragen 'waarom' doet enkel mij geen pijn.

Jij paft uit mijn raam – al een eeuw jouw script,
niet vandaag, ook met armen als takken geen trip.
Een meter erbuiten, dreigen; ik trap je kop en je stuitert drie verdiepingen laag,
“Bedreig me niet, ik voel me steeds minder behaagt.”
Ontsteken is oorlog, glas splijt je gezicht,
had je gepast naar mijn wetten, was er niets aangericht.
“Sluit me niet dan niet op, dit voelt niet okay,”
"waarom zo vijandig? - Ik ben niet je vijand?"  – Ja – "Nee".

Ik pluk uit de visbak nog eentje, slijmerig, rauw,
Cadeau van jou ooit? Nu harder tegen je kaken – wauw.
Baf op het bed, stilte krijgt geen applaus,
ik chargeer in mijn huis – ben jij wel goed snuis?
Ik mis je net, maar vlieg tien keer in spree,
Nog een tik, "nu ga je neer", smeek maar geen plea.
Ik trap je vriendin paars, jij blijft koud als graniet,
Nog een klap, ik ben slacht, jij tikt als grafiet.
Terwijl jij spullen schept – drie-vier-vijf-zes-zeven-acht,
grom ik rot op!
“Dat wou ik al lang”
mijn ego knakt in de nacht.
Ik vertel heel de wijk wie je bent, al je streken,

And this burner from 95' we knew we couldn't go wrong with that! Originally was only released on cassette (K7) format at the time, and is considered a rare gem almost impossible to find! So yes brothers and sisters if you liked Do The Math (and we know you did!) This one is for you ! Nothing but pure medication for your Heart & Soul ! If you feel down, or a bit tired of this fucked up world... This Prescription Is For You! We did our best to source the purest sounding versions of this album that is even possible due to loss of original masters due to a flood. Tracks were sourced from the original Cassette and were maticulously mastered by Vincent Ternest of Wax Flowers Studio, . And it turned out great. A real "LOST" project, more than likely to have never seen the light of day again. Enjoy, something we couldn't let go by lost to a tragedy that left it on the backburner.
