The style of "Borderlands" is based on psychedelic and dreamy ambience. It contains 8 experimental recordings of Shao Yanpeng (SHAO) and guitarist Wang Wenwei (WWW) from 2019 to 2021.

The essence of the album " Eight Dreams" conveys the concept of "dream." The whole album strives to represent the abstraction and the passionate imagination of "dreamland," presenting this innovative notion behind the album in an oriental and Zen creative way.

"Borderlands" was originally named "Borderlands" in English. Once the album was finished in the summer of 2021, SHAO once again watched the movie "Dreams”directed by Akira Kurosawa. The Film happened to be about eight dreams, and "Borderlands" album also happened to have eight tracks. SHAO felt that there was a coincidence, so the album name was changed to " Eight Dreams"

The " Eight Dreams" album and “Midnight Mountain" were produced at the same time, and they can be regarded as parallel albums with a more dreamy atmosphere.

The album gives the listener the artist’s idea of ‘dream’. It presents the music in a natural or instinctive way, a spiritual way.

For this first VA, we decided to focus on the meaning of our name “BLVSH”, which is for us the idea of blossoming, blooming, coming to life.

Half of the tracks are from our crew members, while the other half are from guests dear to us. Active members of the FLINTGA* scenes and communities in Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands.

“A research man for the dark, filthy and comfortable sounds.“

Thats a good way to describe Pink Concrete. His fathers classical, jazz and synth-infused 80s music collection made him fall in love with the music on his early ages. His influences dragged him to connect the traditional sound with the futuristic rhythm  .

Pink Concrete started his first production in high school by composing diss tracks to his friends for fun. He fell in love with it and continued to improve his skills with his music teacher, playing records at school parties.

A student of the game, Pink Concrete is not a stranger to neither big or small clubs of his city. One of the biggest advantages that he presents is his international acts like Porto, Istanbul, Prague and Canary Islands even before he started producing.

“It’s all about the facial expressions of the people around me when they can feel the emotions like how I feel through the sounds. That's what makes me bond with them.“

After a few years of organizing events in various clubs, he started his own collective with his close friends called Kave. This project created a new perspective for him and he realized he could push himself even further. He created a bigger-scale event series called Anormal alongside Monoloc. And most recently more intimate and artistic event hereandthere.

Pink Concrete’s debut EP released in May 2022 “I Hate Millennial Architecture” (Children of Tomorrow) includes remixes from Magna Pia and Arthur Robert. Previously he released his tracks with labels like ReKids.

Fun fact: when PVC was founded in 2018 the first “Plenum” took place in amorizont's living room. Much has happened since then. He moved to Bremen, started Djing in 2020, is co-founder and part of team.ancora. Influenced by Italo and Dark Disco music, his aim is to combine both impulsive beats and emotional melodies. amorizont never broke his connections to Leipzig. That's why he is super happy to contribute his mix to the PVC series.
