It's Alright

Eclectic acoustic band Black Forest Smoke formed in Woodend in 2012 out of a desire to put poetry to music and to write original songs. They play songs based around  Brendan Tyrrell’s rhythm guitar  and Steve Scott's bass, with melodies provided by David Crosbie’s mandolin and resonator and Sue Blakey’s sax and flute all set to quirky lyrics that are partly spoken/partly sung by poet Myron Lysenko.  
The lyrics are inspired by the likes of Cohen, Reed, Waits, and their sound is a blend of contemporary country, folk, and alternative acoustic compositions.
