Slow Nomaden is the project of Münster based Tobias Kroschel. In his DJ Sets and productions he takes the listener on an electronic journey through sounds of different cultures and spheres. 

Slow Nomaden enjoyed many successes on Spotify during 2021 including numerous features on Organica and Electronic Rising playlists and recently hitting 2M streams on Vasudeva (HMWL / Nu Boheme)

Slow Nomaden turns the original Calypso by the Parisian songwriter Wanduta into an organic downtempo gem with a mystic flute. 

Wanduta (HMWL / Rituel Recordings / Underyourskin / Buddha Bar) is Parisian producer, self-taught guitarist and pianist who has been making music for more than a decade. He has a slow, sensual sound that mixes warm samples, deep baselines, tribal rhythms and hypnotic melodies.
 
His new tune Calypso is about the difficulties we have to understand each other as people, particularly between two people in love, and how your love for a single person can destroy things that were important for you before.
 
Adds the artist, "Sometimes, your love for someone else affects the way you think, which can be a very positive and enriching thing, but at the same time, can affect your ideals and make you lose sight about what was important to you before. It is like Calypso the nymph, who detained Odysseus for seven years, preventing him from accomplishing his destiny.

The 5th winter compilation from Art Vibes has arrived and we are beyond happy to finally share it with you. This selection brings together the effort of 8 producers settled in different parts of the world. Winter Vibes V is full of mystical percussions, deep synths and organic sonic atmospheres.
The compilation starts off with Scabeni and her latest tune 'Purity'. This comforting track guides us on a path of calm and well-being. It's positive, deep, shimmering with shamanic voices and magical synthesizers. It provokes the same feeling as being floating in-between dreams and reality.

The ethnic voices of the band Laboratorium Piesni lead us to visit a surreal Polish space destined for ecstatic dance. Without expecting it, Milo immerses us into a cloud of electric synthesizers and rhythmic choirs.

Starting with magnificent percussive sounds and spatial zither licks, the track is at the intersection of organic house and synthetic melodic techno. Raised in the Netherlands and inspired by his Balkan heritage, Satori returns to Crosstown Rebels this April with The Gin Song. Featuring acclaimed group My Baby, it’s the third and final single ahead of his upcoming album.

Famed for his dreamy, ethereal production and Eastern European influences The Gin Song opens with a raw drum kick, delightfully accompanied by a high pitched guitar riff, which perfectly echoes a band from the 70s or 80s. Maktub, a recent touring project curated by Satori, has been embellished in some of the most iconic clubbing institutions and provides a cinematic rave experience to accompany his live sets. My Baby is a Dutch - New Zeland trio based in Amsterdam. A relentless touring schedule has seen them acquire a large fan base for their live shows. Their unique sound combines rock and dance music with folk infused melodies, all played on instruments curating quite the spectacle to witness live. The trio are no strangers to clubs and festivals from all corners of the globe and have released through labels such as Embrace Recordings, Prehistoric Rhythm and Glitterhouse Records to name a few.

'Sounds Of Khemit returns with another carefully curated collection of sounds that are steeped in ancient mysticism.

Says the label of the inspiration for this latest collection, "The Ancient Khemitian Master Khnum is associated with water and procreation. Her name Khnoom, as the hieroglyphs depict, means the dweller - the one that lives in or at a specified place. Khnum is seen as the source of the Nile and with her potter’s wheel she created the bodies of humans and other gods from the abundant clay."

First up is Mexican Roderic, a producer and a live performer with a love of house that ranges from the deep to more tech-edged. His 'Magma' is a widescreen affair with melancholic chords draped over loose, hip-swinging beats. Soft shakers and all sorts of organic percussion pepper the groove as wispy chords continue to make for an alluring late-night vibe.

Next are Liife & Kem Otto, a pair who have collaborated many times and always cook up spiritual and organic sounds with emotional depth. Their glorious 'Magic Carpet' carries you away on lush and upbeat piano chords as the scuffed up beats swing low. Shimmering vocal chants heighten the track's entrancing atmosphere and lock you in for the most spine-tingling of rides.

Lastly, Turu Anasi is a talented organic house and downtempo producer with numerous fine releases on labels like Cosmic Awakenings and Pipe & Pochet. His 'Iry Hor' is a slow, seductive and purposeful track with cavernous drums and smooth late-night chords. There is magic in the air as the synths dance above the firmly rooted groove and the effect is one that will have you lost deep in the dance.

This is another stylish collection of musical and moving house tunes. ‘Magma’ will be dropping on 20th May followed by ‘Magic Carpet’ on 27th May and finally ‘Ivy Hor’ on 31st May.'

Bodaishin's Circle of Life label is to release a beautifully organic and escapist mix of melodic house sounds on a
various artists collection due on July 1st. It showcases the many artistic talents in the labels’ orbit, and makes
for a soul soothing listen from start to finish.
The first track by Thales Senses (AR) comes in two versions - the ambient and club friendly original mix. Both
are lush and melodic affairs that take you deep. The second track by Ale Russo (AR) is the most mysterious
song of the collection with wispy leads that entrance and entice. Savage & She from Canada then step up with
super rhythmic and tribal groove, original vocals and oriental melodies that make you feel part of a ritual dance
at sun down. Label head Bodaishin (AR) step up with super ethereal sounds on Laranshkasha which is a world
created by creatures of the night.
Hole Box from Mexico takes care of track five and it is a tune that brings happiness, joy and hope with plenty of
powerful positive vibes. Peruvian Vandelor keeps the spirits high with Ubuntu and a new Early Morning
Version. It is beautiful and has sweet vocals that are harmony for the soul. Then come Arteforma and Marian
(AR) with Flowers On Monday on remix, who have their own majestic and dreamy house sounds and plenty of
rich melodies.

Philip Rex aka Tonelab is an Australian artist based in Melbourne who has also released on labels such as Traum. Philip Rex has been involved in music from a young age and before his career in electronic music, he was a jazz musician famed for being one of Australia's most in-demand double bass players. He was also one half of the Decoy duo and has played at festivals across the globe such as Vuuv, Glade, Wonderland, Rainbow Serpent, Earthcore, Eclipse and Maitreya.

El Mundo featured on the last Flow Music release when he collaborated on a remix with regular production partner Zazou. This time the German producer is working in a solo capacity in the deep and organic style he has previously featured on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Akbal Music.

Nōpi is a young Ukrainian producer whose making his debut on Flow Music following outings on scene-leading record labels such as Anjunadeep, Do Not Sit and All Day I Dream.

“Inhale Exhale” is the EP's original track and it's got a slow-burning groove with haunting male vocals and poignant chords layered with soaring pads and dance floor focused percussion. Nōpi's remix of Inhale Exhale strips back the original and layers new tribal percussion plus a sub-heavy bassline to create a techy version full of atmosphere. El Mundo’s remix introduces a new piano riff to create a spine-tingling version that’s full of suspense, while the original's vocals fill it with emotion.

1) What is your favorite book to read? 
Tortilla Curtain by TC Boyle. Not only because it carries the favourite
food of my ancestors from Central America in the title but also
describes the issues immigrants are facing coming into an
industrialized, over-organised and materially wealthy society. Also a
reflection of my own personal story.

2)  If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have? Magic hugs
which turn haters into lovers, war lords into cuddle machines and
jealous folks into caring & supporting persons. 

3) What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)?  Some 60
hours on one of the first super enthusiastic weekends dancing in Berlin
- right from work on Friday to the bars and then 1 full 24h at Sisyphos.
Was just so happy to be alive at that time in that place. Just couldn’t
stop dancing with a big smile on my face.

We are glad to round the year with this Selektion 2022 compilation. It is a pretty accurate representation of what Bar 25 Music was up to during these past 12 month. The compilation captures the fruits of the labour of the label's team, regulars and new artists. A collection of tracks was crafted to walk listeners through all audial highlights and to remind them what the essence of Bar 25 Music is.

For this one we have the pleasure of sharing a beautiful, summer-filled track by the French producer Yeahman and fellow producer Hajna alongside vocals from Mina. Miniyamba evokes a sparkling sea, rolling waves and the warm sun beating down on your skin.

Following a widely acclaimed first release with DGTL Records, Satori (@satorimusica) returns to the Amsterdam-based label with brand new music. No stranger to the festival, the Nijmegen based producer also known as Djordje Petrovic has delivered his mind- altering sets to DGTL’s global editions since 2015. As the perfect follow-up to his 2018 EP ‘Yam’, his latest release consists of two melodic and spiritually infused tracks ‘Mori Shej’ and ‘African Bang’. The EP is set to release on February 26th 2021.

With an ear for incorporating global influences to his music, what sets Satori apart in the electronic music world is his effortless ability to merge seductive trance with transcendent dance and rhythm: creating melodies from the piano, kalimba, kora and guitar (to name a few). This unique manner of merging organic influences with dance and club music is something that is ever-present in his music, and even more so on his latest release.

The first track on the EP, ‘Mori Shej’ is a clear amalgamation of folk influences interwoven with electronic landscapes. It is inspired by Satori’s favourite Hungarian Roma song, having listened to it since the age of 15. The track came about through a detailed search on different versions of the song, where he stumbled upon one version from song collector and artist ‘Peia’. The impact of this particular version was so powerful, that Satori contacted Peia for a collaboration. The result of which quickly found its way into his live-set and the track was born.

Profound inspiration is something that is frequent in Satori’s productions, with his second track on the EP ‘African Bang’ following suit. The track is grounded in an energetic yet earthy interpretation of African soundscapes - with strong nuances of dance and movement. It was brought to life when Satori came across some rare African vocals while visiting record shops in London. They made such an impression, that he recorded them as samples. After some experimentation in the studio, he added a groove that came to serve as the pulse of the track. In Satori’s words ‘I feel this is a never-ending groove, and absolutely love it’.

The artwork for this release is a special one-off collaboration with Dutch photographer Bastiaan Woudt. Woudt and Satori have a long-lasting friendship formed over the love for each other’s work. The friendship is a big source of inspiration for both and their paths have crossed frequently over the years, making this collaboration a perfectly fitting one.
