The single to my debut EP “It’s Been Real”

This song is about depression and the effects of distraction from it rather than confronting the root issue. Sometimes you don’t know it’s too late until you’re already at the bottom. It does get better, I promise. Dial 988 (crisis hotline) if need be, you matter and you are enough.

A more theatrical and full version of my single, bumped down a few steps to express the low point this song represents. Strings high and low drone throughout the song as a grand piano punctuates each verse. Split acoustic guitar and vocals to emphasize the dream like state of being somewhere physically but not mentally. Whispers lulling you to peace as the blissful melody carry’s a somber and poignant voice. Lay in the bed and sink as you follow the story of letting depression dictate your escape.

Im putting a cumulation of 3 years into my first ep. My raw feelings. Love, joy, emptiness, friendship, loneliness, regret, loss, addiction, anxiety, depression,self harm. Things experienced and witnessed. All releasing on 03/17/23

The Ep called “It’s Been Real” will not be highly produced, simply my naked instrumentals and voice. I’m not making music that is meant to sound good. I’m making music that will give a voice to that empty feeling many know, but are unable to describe.

Pfp was 4 years in the making, credit goes to friends and teachers met throughout high school. Random doodles, shared on one page. My high school experience on a single piece of paper, people I may never meet again, left their mark on that paper the same as they did on me.

To all these people, every second I had and will have with each of you was worth it. Hate or love, I’d do it all over again.
