Vlada is a prominent figure in Russia's burgeoning dance music scene. She is a resident DJ at Moscow's landmark Arma17 promotion crew and one of the minds behind the city's Mutabor club and arts center, which opened only last year and has already garnered a reputation as a world class venue.

A formidable DJ and purveryor of groovy, minimal dance music, we invite Vlada to cut the ribbon on our new mix series. As an apt reflection of our current circumstances, Vlada steps away from the dancefloor and ventures into slower territory, all the while maintaining the hypnotic groove that is her hallmark. From an early age Sharanya has had a distinct connection and curiosity with music, in particular with musical patterns and their intricate melodic properties. Growing up in Malaysia her attentions were diverted to a number of musical scenes as varied as classical Indian and Western music which eventually lead to electronic music. Moving to Australia in 2009, she soon started attending local parties in Perth and Melbourne. Collecting music most of her life, she soon found herself immersed with this new electronic sound she discovered. It wouldn't be long before she realised that she really desired to be on the other side of the DJ booth.
