Me gusta brincar en distintos tipos de géneros que creo son ambient, dub techno, breakbeat, house, garage, trance y ver si funcionan juntos. Algo constante que se escuchará en este set son ambiencias, bajos intensos y diferentes tipos de ritmos, rebajados y eventualmente rápidos; me parece va escalando y luego cierra cómo empezó tranquilamente. No es perfecto pero me divertí, ojalá lo disfrute quien lo escuche, la música es infinita y puede ser un loop infinito a la hora de producir, mezclar, experimentar. Galtier enters for his fifth instalment on his own label with ‘Opaque Envelopes’; an exploration of frequency and tilted sound processing across four slick, mid-tempo creations. Having leant heavily into hardware-focused productions, Galtier has refined his use of raw, one-take recordings and hand-crafted audio inflections, carving out a space dripping with feedback channels, aggressive modulation and dense, weighty sub bass, the collection makes for a set of highly functional, warehouse-ready rollers.

The EP carries itself along a subtle, evolutionary line, where Galtier hones in on transient, shifting soundscapes of rich, searing synthetics, all glued together with tight, syncopated rhythms that channel dubstep and electro. The intention is for each piece to sound alive; teeming with a life of its own, full of personality and vitality that breathes throughout. A significantly mature body of work that encapsulates the decade and a half journey into sound that he has embarked on.
