A year in the making.. the long anticipated Computer Love remix package!

We have assembled a diverse lineup of heavy hitting local talent (including a couple of ex-pats living abroad) to reimagine the biggest track from our last EP.

Amongst new friends and longtime collaborators we are proud to present local rapper Sugar James, house heads Patella & Scheme, knob-twiddler Nick de Friez, mic-smith Young Gho$t and bass queen Paige Julia, who debuted her remix during the Keep Hush / 1985 event last year.

From Backpack Raps to Funky House, Grime Bars to Drum & Bass this release has something for everyone.

The 4 track E.P showcases a fusion of both the producer’s personal sounds and influences, whilst setting the tone of what to expect from the label sonically. Melancholic tones and deep breaks create a pallet dedicated to the late night raver, and for moments after the lights have come on.

The title track shows the two artists flex their collaborative production prowess introducing a relentless squelchy acid bass line and disorientating vocal chops laden with the central drum programming across the entire EP. “Know What I Mean” extends this while the vocals bring the listener into a more solidified harmonic stability, all before the aptly-titled “Lovelinch Close” provides lush and atmospheric synth pads to round FB004 off.

Bailey Wiley teams up with NZ born producers Eno of Eno x Dirty and Soraya La Pread to produce a homage to One Minute Man written by American recording artist Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott. It was originally produced by Timbaland for her album Miss E... So Addictive (2001) and features guest vocals by rapper Ludacris. Now 16 years later Bailey reignites the early 2000's hit with a Trap feel and sultry vocals. Available for free download.

This is my spin on Groove Armada’s track Superstyin’. The track is almost 20 years old now and was the band’s first single from the album Goodby Country (Hello Nightclub) in August 2001. Hope you enjoy!

At long last, Plimsoll Records is back with the release of “Luv’d Up” by The Secret Garden.

Conjuring rich soundscapes of summers past, present & future, long time beat maker & crate digger Alex Vickers returns as The Secret Garden, 25 years after his debut on the classic 7th Voyage Label was released to wide underground acclaim.

“Luv’d ub” is a natural response to a year in need of imagination more than ever, featuring low-slung balearic thump, an uplifting bassline, and chants of “L! O! V! E! Love!”

The remixes start off in epic fashion with a psychedelic and spacey dub-disco mix from Mat Hoods, who is a Plimsoll co-founder and one half of the Automats. The dolphins will save us!

Next up is a remix from post-rave production duo Daudhaus, made up of Rod Devonshire and Anthony Leonard (Lenodd). They add a deep house bounce, keep the “Love!” vibes deep while they up the energy with a press of percussion, and a lift in the second half.

Plimsoll Records founder Shoes, rounds out the package with their remix incorporating funky mid-tempo disco breaks, and a cut-and-paste break down collage of “Love.”

Open your ears, open your heart, and move your body and mind. To escape, to create and as importantly as ever, to love - deeply, bravely - and to let those you love be in no doubt of how you feel.
