Sharee - No Soy Nadie

Based on a real adoption listing by the humane society of Chattanooga, TN, I wrote the backstory of Nash the Dog and turned it into a ballad. He's not found his forever home yet, the listing says, because he is "prey-attracted." In other words, he was trained to hunt, and he's good at it. Poor Nash! He's a good dog.

She knows he will pursue fame, potentially diabolically, but that she wouldn't have chosen to let him go, a thought that haunts her.

Based on a dream I had in response to strange environmental events. A social commentary that poses the question - what would we do if one of the planetary bodies were to disappear for no reason? "All the earthlings search in vain for lonely little Mercury..."

So here I was, a 20 year student in college and I was thinking at the time I need to perform guitar somewhere.  
Back then, the newspapers were the way to get jobs, find contacts and advertise!  So I checked the 
City Paper, I think that was the name of it, and found a woman looking for someone to do duos with. 

We met up a week later and started to practice a series of songs.  She liked Heart, and I like the prog rock
stuff but, luckily we had some common ground in the music of the time.  

Every week, they had an open mic at one of the clubs embedded in one of the University buildings.  It was
actually quite nice and sat around 150 to 200 people.  So, we eventually started playing there on thursday
nights!  

Eventually we did a concert there with just our stuff, but, what was really cool about it was that she was working
at a local recording studio bro bono, but, he taped our little concert professionally.  

Well, it was on a blue cassette tape, and I must of moved 20 times since the college days, it's quite a miracle that I didn't misplace the darn thing or lose it, but, I held onto it and eventually had it made into CDs.

A wonderful new audio man was hired at work, so I asked him to take the songs off of the CD and put them into wav files
and the absolute doll "Ed" did this for me, and I am forever grateful.  He wouldn't take a dime for it, but, I plan to
either buy him some lunches or vino!  :)

It's amazing how far the technology has come that I have this concert sounding so great 45 YEARS AGO!
