Part 1 - The Concrete road = Memories of driving this road from the Rhondda Valleys into Cardiff..music up loud..dodgy guts kicking in ..excited..nervous..best times! 

This series is a journey through my favourite memories of my years spent on Saturday nights enjoying resident Kris Hill's 'Trance Classics' (As they are known now)

This series will be my own personal favourite collection of Trance Classics , absolutely packed with amazing memories attached to every single track

That feeling you had after going in Rosie’s next door for a quick drink and sneaky visit to the toilet 😜 .. then you’re all outside , standing in the queue, praying you’ll get in without any hassle .. past the bouncers , pay on the door then up the stairs .. you can hear the bass getting louder with every step .. then at the top of the stairs .. through the doors and BOOM 💥 into Room 1

Evolution Cardiff #6 - The Car Park 

After a long night of dancing in the club , those lights come on and you head for the stairs, hold on for dear life to the handrail on the way back down , shivering cold , clinging to a crushed bottle of water , linked arms with your girlfriends .. and out into the car park you’d stumble 🧟‍♀️🧟🧟‍♂️ .. 

Everyone’s parked up in their cars, different music blasting from each car, people gathering around cars to carry on the night for just those extra few minutes..talking about the afters .. who’s hosting ? How will we get there ..?! God knows how we used to find peoples house parties without sat nav 🤣but we did!! 

Everyone is pickled 😵‍💫 but ..what a night we would have had!! Best times ever in Evolution Cardiff!

Then .. onwards to ‘The Afters’

The Carpark 

This is the last proper Evolution Mix in my series showcasing some of the tracks played in the club in the 90’s -00’s . 

It’s probably the longest mix I’ve ever done since I started this music journey around 6months ago. 

If I were to reflect on this series as a whole I’d say this one should have been the Room 1 Mix .. tracks like Gamemaster / Warrior/ On The Run/ I Believe ; were deffo Room 1 bangers! It just unfolded this way as it was a working project where I was continually adding tracks as I went along.

I’ve absolutely LOVED doing these for you all .. thank you so much for listening / sharing / commenting with your nostalgic moments and memories it’s been so much fun enjoying it together and I’ve learned so much about mixing in the process .

Kris Hill will always be my favourite DJ of the 90’s so I thank him for the inspiration 🙏🏽 Now we all get to see him play at The Flourmill in Blackwood this Friday 30th August (Link in comments)

Wow! That was something else! Right up there with some of best moments I’ve enjoyed behind the decks over the years. Almost two decades on from first setting foot in the The Emporium to have to opportunity to close out what was an incredible Trancecoda event on that main stage can only be described as the stuff dreams are made of, a huge honor and privilege, and a gig I certainly won’t forget in a hurry. A huge thank you to Adam Jukes and the rest of the Trancecoda team for this opportunity and for making dreams happen, and a huge thank you to everyone who stayed for my set and gave it everything right until the last beat, you lot were incredible 😍 This one is going to take a while to sink in!
