Luca Venezia de son vrai nom est un dj et producteur américain basé à Berlin, il y a maintenant plus d'une dizaine d'années qui a su se réinventer et est aller puiser dans ses influences passées à savoir le punk et l'électronique des années 80. De ce savant mélange en est sorti la Next Wave Acid Punx, terme qu'il utilisé pour ses superbes compilations sorties chez Eskimo Records. Est-ce un style ? Plus un art de vivre où se retrouverait les gothiques et les fans de new beat... avec toujours une touche de rock.

BIO
The Bleak Engineers coldwave duo consists of Moralez and Zombierella (half of horror punk band Messer Chups). Both artists have been working on the music scene for more than twenty years. They debuted on Six Tonnes De Chair Records 5 years ago with a «New Frontiers» LP that mixed electronic sounds with live bass and guitar. An album followed on Mosaique Records in 2019, but one of their earliest tracks “Unconscious”, which was released along with a video, has remained unreleased. It’s the title of their second 12’’ LP that came out on Rotation Mécanique in 2021. 

Both albums have high ratings on discogs and are hard to get today on vinyl. They are in no hurry and have chosen the path of an independent vision of New Wave, DIY, Flexipop and 80’s minimal synths. Although synthesisers grew into great knob-covered beasts there are still plenty of bands like The Bleak Engineers that are thankfully in thrall to the early synth sounds. They have a new album «The Mystical Dream» coming out this autumn in November 2024.

This mix is like a point of attraction for their musical desires and dreams brings together the unconscious, but very beautiful and expressive. Here music from different years and languages acquires an attractive meaning in an unobtrusive audio form. Enjoy!

Chloe Harris aka Raica is a DJ and music producer who has gained a substantial following through her original tracks posted on SoundCloud. She began producing music in 1998, initially focusing on progressive house, but in 2012, she transitioned to experimental synth music, marking a significant shift in her creative direction. Known for her eclectic and evolving sound, Raica’s work blends atmospheric synths with intricate compositions, earning her a respected place in the electronic music community. In addition to her production career, she is a co-head and co-owner of the Discogs store and label Further Records. A native of Seattle, her work is deeply influenced by her connection to the Pacific Northwest music scene.

Bianco Negativo is an Italian duo project established in 2019 by Davide Pestillo and Claudio Cuccovillo. They have been building their discography over the last years with releases on labels such as their own Marguerite Records, Warsaw-based Syntetyk and Glasgow-based Lunacy. The Milanese duo lies between dark synth-wave and EBM, but their second label, Tocca il Futuro, showcases their affinity for the eclectic and runs a radio show at Rinse France and LYL Radio.
