The beginning quotes are taken from the novel Shantaram that Milton has read many times.  The story has deeply impacted the core of his being…he is a different Milton now…this time away has only served as a containment and consolidation of his incredible power! This past weekend I attended the 16th annual Vedic Astrology conference (which is right in my backyard every year!) in Grass Valley at the Shivananda Ashram.  I was deeply moved by Komilla Sutton’s talk on the current astrological energies now and the next 3 months to come.  I was so inspired that I transcribed the entire talk and made it available for your listening pleasure! I wanted to share it with my community so that we may understand not only the astrological road map of the current times we live in, but also the ancient cultural heritage from which these understandings arise giving us the complete context to truly embody the information.

This live mix was recorded at Ecstatic Dance in Nevada City with the sentiment to be a catalyst for releasing the grief from the loss that our community has experienced from the fires of Northern California. (I was soaking at Harbin Hot Springs just a couple hours before it burned down!!!)  Our prayer is for all the elements to come into balance so that we honor the water, air and the earth in addition to the fire that we tend to worship a bit more ;-)

Murda Dem Bumbaclot Lurker's pon di floor!!!   So, I’m tired of all the creepy lurker dudes killin the vibes on the dance floor.  Yes, dem gyals are ridiculously hot and move their bodies like no other, but that doesn’t give you the right to vamp on their energy…directly or indirectly…..they can feel it right away, and rather than stay open and express themselves and take the energy to the next level, they shutdown and hide.  It is those thirsty bros that get a clear “no” and still do it anyway which shows me how far we have to come to eliminate the patriarchy programs and sexism that is just accepted, especially in the so called conscious dance events.  Ha!...well maybe this track can be a sort of lurker dispeller tool for DJs...lol!
