"Upstairs at Eric's" was a pivotal album for me.  I can still remember the first time I heard this song-- where I was, who was with me, and even the emotions evoked.  It forced a shift for me musically, just as Jarre had done a few years earlier and Enya did a couple of years after. 

The original is still infinitely better (and still elicits the same emotional response today) but I do like this as a humble tribute.

After laying down the backing tracks (aided with a basic MIDI file from www.free-midi.org), I layered on a custom sound for the EWI solo.  No planning. No cleaning except to adjust the volume. What you hear is the first and last take, warts and all. Enjoy.
