We stayed in Ecuador for a new collaboration of exciting artists who have been pumping out belter after belter on the black market of South American underground perreo. PVSSY & Entrañas met halfway, between Guayaquil and Quito, to distill 3 intense, sharp-cut and stomping trax that capture the maximum fervor for industrial reggaeton and dramatic dancehall.

But the package also brings our usual reinterpretations. ‘Manía’ is remixed by the South African Menzi, who injects the flow that consecrated him on Hakuna Kulala. This time a slow burner with high cinematic sound design builds up a flawless nrg for the warm up momentum. Finally, the amphibious, el yurugua Lechuga Zafiro, deconstructs, or to be more precise, destroys ‘Acertijo’ with a painful–heartbroken dronish version that exalts our mission as a label and that acknowledges the state of mind of the latinx raver: perreando, pero también llorando en el club.

En Colombia, cientos de comunidades y habitantes que viven en zonas costeras y periféricas aún son víctimas del conflicto armado, el desplazamiento forzoso, y la precariedad generalizada. Es claro, el abandono estatal es un fenómeno vigente en pleno ocaso del actual gobierno. 

A raíz de la coyuntura, Mothership.exe presenta Hiperestesia V.A. En esta compilación, varios artistas del underground nacional y latinoamericano ensamblan sus canciones con el fin de señalar el abandono estatal: una problemática desdeñada en la que no hay garantías, ni resoluciones efectivas. 

Hiperestesia es un trastorno caracterizado por un aumento extremo en la sensibilidad. Este concepto hace referencia al malestar y profundo que sienten los colombianos hacia un estado descentralizado.

Desde septiembre de 2021, se ha establecido un asentamiento indígena en el Parque Nacional, un espacio emblemático de Bogotá. Según "Autoridades Indígenas de Bacatá", allí se concentran más de 1.000 personas. Dicho escenario surge como un acto de protesta por la violencia sistemática que viven los grupos étnicos (y la población) en departamentos abandonados históricamente. 

Hiperestesia V.A también nace como una muestra de unión desde la autogestión, que busca apoyar a las comunidades vulneradas por la problemática. Como resultado, la totalidad de las ventas serán donadas para apoyar las necesidades humanitarias del asentamiento indígena ubicado en el Parque Nacional.

Musically, the style of CRISIS is easily identifiable. In most of his works we can find a raw, dry and forceful techno. It's unpretentious techno in terms of complexity of rhythms, dreamlike or ambient abstraction, but sometimes less is more and in the case of CRISIS it works perfectly round between House, Techno, Rave & Breakbeat, the only thing guaranteed: It will always burn the dancefloor.

So I made a new Bootleg track at about 3am this morning. 
It combines Regis' 1996 track Allies with DJ N.K's track Orixás Groove from the 2006 "DJ Do Ghetto" compilation.

In Allies, you can really hear industrial techno in its infancy, emerging from the Birmingham post industrial urban environment in the mid nineties, as heavy metal had done 30 years earlier. It was clearly a reaction to the commercialisation and "happy-isation" of hardcore and rave culture.

Similarly in Orixás Groove and the entire DJ Do Ghetto compilation we hear the birth of a new wave of Kuduro, emerging from the increasingly westernised, dubstep-ised Kuduro sounds that were making their way to my english ears in the mid noughties.

When i first heard "Allies" it reminded me of the rawness and immediecy of the early Angolan Kuduro sounds I had found hidden in the depths of internet blogs. I also feel that Techno and Kuduro, at their best and mixed well, both share the same transendental hypnotic quality, to me there is no "CLASH" here, the two styles are best friends.

It was a no brainer that I had to mash it together with a Kuduro rhythm. It took me ages to get round to doing it but finally, here it is.
