Ostensibly, this song is a biography of how tenor Andrea Bocelli lost his eyesight.  Some of the lines are verbatim translations from an interview with his parents, translated into English (not by me).  However, there is artistic license with the lyrics as well.  The cover photo is graffiti in San José, Costa Rica taken by me in 2014.
