Shawn Crutch, was born and bred in the city streets of Chicago, Il. Diagnosed at birth with Cerebral Palsy, Crutch was confined to his bed at Children's Memorial Hospital for the early part of his childhood years. Determined not to let this handicapp become hindrance, Crutch learned to channel his pain through music and spoken word. Upon his return from Alabama A&M University, he teamed with recording label 2nd II None Ent. to release the compilation mixtape titled "Burnside's Finest". Afterwards Crutch founded #KnoWAbility. An organization geared towards inspiring mentally and physically challenged individuals. Crutch then released a catalog of demo songs over the internet in which he titled CAN'T CRUSH A CHAMPION VOL.1: LYRICAL ASSASSINATION. Since VOL.1's initial release Crutch continues to express his pain through his witty punchlines and thought provoking lyricism. Crutch has opened for various artist such as, L.E.P. Bogus Boys, Jeezy, D12, Crime Mob and Young Dro. He has also recorded with other Chicago based artist such as Bump J, Jo Blak, and GLC. With CAN'T CRUSH A CHAMPION VOL.2:FORBIDDEN FRUIT slated for a 2015 release & CAN'T CRUSH A CHAMPION VOL.3:LEAN ON ME currently in production, it's clearly evident that Shawn Crutch's undeniable motivation for his music is to inspire underpriveledged handicapp children throughout the nation to achieve their dreams & #KnoWAbility
