Ted Brown was born in 1960 in Steubenville, Ohio, the grandson of German, Greek and Jewish immigrants. Ted and his parents later moved to Wheeling, West Virginia, and Ted worked in the family business, an Ethan Allen furniture store, through high school.
He later moved to California and graduated from UCLA in 1984, earning a B. A. in political science with a concentration in Constitutional Law. Since then, he has worked in the insurance industry and is currently self-employed as an independent insurance adjuster, specializing in auto, property, and general liability cases. Ted and his wife Laura have been married since 1984.  They lived in Southern California for many years before moving to Austin, Texas. Ted joined the Libertarian Party in 1979 and has been active his entire adult life. He is currently Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Travis County, Candidate Coordinator for the Libertarian Party of Texas, and a member of the Texas State Libertarian Executive Committee (SLEC).

Dave Crance: Libertarian Candidate for Virginia House of Delegates

Dave Crance is a dedicated Libertarian and community leader running for the Virginia House of Delegates in District 13, encompassing Falls Church and parts of Fairfax County. 

A resident of the area for over 25 years, Crance has deep roots in Northern Virginia, where he lives with his wife, Suman, and their children. He is active in the local Chamber of Commerce serving on its Board, the American legion and VFW where he serves in the roll of Chaplain, and has coached youth sports in multiple local leagues. His commitment to individual liberty, limited government, and community service defines his campaign and Libertarian philosophy.

Crance’s journey to libertarianism is grounded in his belief in self-ownership, private property rights, and the non-aggression principle—core tenets of the Libertarian Party. He advocates for a government that is as limited and localized as possible, prioritizing individual freedoms over the influence of special interests, corporations, or national political parties. 

Crance has stated, “One of the few things all libertarians agree on is that in a perfect world there would be no need for Government at all, but as such a world doesn’t exist, Government should remain as limited and localized as possible belonging to the people.” 

His platform emphasizes lowering taxes, protecting local institutions, such as school boards and councils from overreach by state or national politics, ensuring that decisions about education and community matters remain non partisan and in the hands of local residents.

Pat Wright is a San Diego native and a lifelong advocate for liberty and individual rights. My journey with the Libertarian Party began in 1980, working on the Ed Clark presidential campaign. Since then, I’ve taken on both political and activist roles to fight government overreach and champion personal freedom.

Libertarian Party Leadership & Campaigns
1984: Ran for Congress against the corrupt and disgraced Duncan Hunter.
1980s-1990s: Challenged corrupt establishment politicians, including Mike Gotch, who claimed he wouldn’t take developer money—until he did.
1986-1996 (approx.): Served as Chair of the San Diego Libertarian Party, where I also ran the San Diego Libertarian Supper Club, bringing libertarians together for strategy and community.
1991-1993: Elected Chairman of the Libertarian Party of California, where we doubled membership and built a solid, action-oriented organization.
2002: Ran for Lieutenant Governor with the ballot title “Ferret Legalization Coordinator”—a fun fight that confused state officials, especially when it came to translating it into Mandarin.
Ferret Advocacy & Activism
After my second term as LPC Chair, I founded Ferrets Anonymous, leading the charge to legalize ferrets in California, one of only two states that still bans them. Decades later, I’m still at it, working through legal, legislative, and grassroots channels to get the job done. You can see my work at legalizeferrets.org. Running a nonprofit membership organization for over 30 years has given me invaluable experience—something I’ll carry into revitalizing the Libertarian Party of California.

What I’m Doing Now
Currently, I’m semi-retired, though California’s broken policies have made that challenging. After inheriting a duplex, I saw my property tax increase by 1,000% due to Proposition 19—and after three years of red tape, I still couldn’t get a building permit. A successful retirement? That would’ve been nice. Now, I joke that I’m training to be a Walmart greeter instead.

Loren Dean grew up in Riverside, California, and being naturally suspicious of established authority cast his very first presidential vote in 1992 for Ross Perot. He discovered libertarianism while living in Perry, Oklahoma from 2007-2019, where he became one of the nine registered Libertarian voters in Noble County, Oklahoma. Upon his return to California in late 2019 he became active with the Riverside  county affiliate as vice-chair and now chair.  He currently serves as Southern Area Coordinator on the state executive committee. He relishes the fight for liberty, and in his own words, plans "to keep going until they throw me in a camp.

This is the first movement of a larger work named "Obelisk".  Obelisk is a piece about inner strength that holds us together in hard times.  I envision an ancient obelisk that has stood for thousands of years with no supports to hold it in place while more ornate temples have collapses under the ages from earthquakes, wars & any number of disasters yet they stand as a testament their own power.  We should all strive to stand strong like the Obelisk.  The larger work called Obelisk is one I'll composer over the course of my life showing the different stages of my existance & hope to imulate the ancient monuments that still stand.
