‘Keytar (I Was Busy)’ is refreshingly perky, yet still grounded in a gritty synth-pop sound. The track is a moment of pure exhilarating pop joy hiding the darkest lyrical themes in the brightest of melodies (just like all the best pop music does). “I was busy trying to find myself, but there was no one else.” Like a slice of sunshine, the track wouldn’t be out of place on a The Pretenders album. Freeman’s voice has a magic quality. It’s incredibly toned, yet there are glimpses of fragility in there that makes the listening experience so unique.

The London-based band consists of front person Jemma Freeman, formerly of Bella Union’s Landshapes, plus bass player Mark Estall and drummer Hamilton Lee. After Freeman initially started the project solo, they found Mark and Hamilton and honed their psychedelic glam rock sound together. Hazy guitars and beguiling lyrics will guide your way through ‘Keytar (I Was Busy)’ by shining a light into a part of the psyche you may or may not know was there. Debut album ‘Oh Really, What’s That Then?’ is out on 18 October.

Many a man's tale has been told throughout history as a journey on the sea where both natural and supernatural forces exist. From the Epic poems of Homer's Odyssey and Iliad to The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, and even the Mutiny on the Bounty, men have journeyed with courage facing incredible odds. Powerful forces are adversaries at times and allies at others.

The sea is a great way to portray one's struggle or challenge in life and this is the story of us. We are regular guys and working class heroes. Each of us is individually challenged to be a hero with the human talents we possess. Each in his own way and each equally powerful as we blend these talents together. We form a bond like seaman on the ever-changing Seas of life. The wind shall not carry us anywhere but where we wish. This is our Epic Journey!

This is our Monumental ode to those who came before us and those who will come after. This is the story of how we got here and the overwhelming circumstances we each effort to force our way through . We have experienced extreme heartbreak, tough task masters, a difficult job, injury, illness and a plethora of more circumstances to overcome.

We've made it to this day and to form a band of fellows on a ship sailing these rough seas. Wherever our souls shall lead us. The power of our spirit romantically condensed into lyric and song on our adventures. "Aye aye, Captain Bligh" is the song that describes us. And it defines us. And it elevates us all at the same time. Although past heartbreaks have tied the albatross to our necks, it's never mind the wing in our eye that is symbolic to overcoming our obstacles and being who we are despite any challenges or circumstance. We hope this will challenge you as well. When you are challenged what will you do?
