After the great success of Italo Brutalo ́s debutalbum „Heartware“ it was quite obvious to let some of the hottest artists around rework some of the songs.

Kafkactrl, who released some great EPs on Vortex Trax took „You are welcome“ to another – his very own dimension. While the original is quite straight his remix is dominated by electro beats paired with his stunning micro editing.

„Reach Horizon“ has been remixed by CYRK, who are without any doubts one of the best live acts these days.

Mufti from Mexico made a very dancefloor-ish remix out of „Dream Machine“, which will be heard at festivals this summer for sure.

None other than one of the two Slow Motion Label heads, Fabrizio Mammarella, made a great dancefloor version of „Into a sampler“.

South Korean ́s Shubostar created a great cosmic disco remix of „Heat of the Knight“, that can be played any time in a cool DJ set.

Last but not least Italo Brutalo ́s longterm friend Kris Menace, who is out of the remixing business and denied requests from the biggest players the past years, turned „Into a Sampler“ into a powerful bass-in- your-face version.

On top of that all Bungalo Disco created very special analog remixed videos of the original videos to complete the audio-visual remix concept of Heartware.

The story begins when the fishes from the ocean travel to the river.

Over the years, as I prepared the Cosmic Voyage mixes, one recurring theme caught my attention: "The River." So, I began to collect them. What does the river mean to many artists?

The river is not the vast ocean or towering mountains; it’s humble, like a friend to the moon. It flows silently, watching us—or simply existing. It holds memories, sorrows, and the weight of things we’ve let go.

Thus, the fishes experience life. And sometimes, they remember why they came.

I’ve been reflecting on the pure love I once had for music and how I’ve lost some of that innocence. To me, the river represents purity, the hometown I must never forget. I am not as flashy as the ocean, and I will find happiness in simplicity. What does the river mean to you?

Tracing a path through low end tension and flickering textures, Liniae delivers a narrative suspended between clarity and distortion. A mix where gravity bends and rhythms liquefy. Quietly hypnotic, pleasantly disorienting. A story carved in low-end pulses, subtle tonal shifts  and steady, driving rhythms. Elusive, but unmistakably alive.

I met Louis at the mighty OHM in Berlin, where he worked as night manager. I hold much respect for people who hold these roles, they’re the backbone of the music scene, even if they rarely get the spotlight. Later, I discovered his music, and it genuinely caught me off guard in the best way. I’m really happy to have him on the Further Inward mix series. His mix hits exactly what I look for in music: focused, thoughtful, and with a strong sense of direction. I genuinely couldn’t ask for a better contribution.
