Watersign by a country mile. It’s the only party keeping it real imo. Hot bookings, always a sexy vibe inside. Lineup is secret until the day of. A must-attend if you’re in town <3

I have a playlist for this! I think I'll go with LTD Colours – Messy Objects, from their Patterns EP.

What would you like to see in the future for the dance community?

I think a more unionised approach to the scene would be nice. Solidarity and mutual aid – in regard to uplifting and platforming our peers.

Sobolik is a Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, writer, and teacher. Sobolik's world is filled with colour and hyperkinetic energy. Not fitting in one box, their output reacts to a broad palette of styles across North American and UK dance music culture. They’ve turned heads over the past two years with mixes for Honcho, Daisychain, DJ Mag, and Origins Tapes, as well as futuristic club cuts on labels like Kindergarten, 3024, All Centre, CloudCore, and Woozy.

Tell me about this mix?
This mix was culled from a recent practice recording, in preparation for my opening set at the next Antidote party on 12/17. Antidote is a collective started by Alyce aka Lychee, of likeminded friends and dance music practitioners: DJs Lychee, T.Wan, Sobolik, and Nutrition Facts, lighting designer Glimmer, and yoga instructor Yaya. We hold this party a few times a year in a private arts space, and it's very special to us as an opportunity to make something specifically for our favorite queer people to dance with. It's off the beaten club circuit path and aims to fully prioritize our collective values, musically, culturally, socially, and otherwise.

i'm looking forward to opening the party following Yaya's yoga session, for the chance to keep improving my slow burn mode and play more music with complex textural and emotional palettes. deep style 😶‍🌫️

What are you working on now that you are most excited about?
So much new music is in the works :) I'm looking at dropping at least three new EPs next year, possibly more, among other singles and one-off projects. I'm not gonna spill any deets yet, but stay tuned <3
