I wanted this track to describe the feeling of reflection as I started writing it towards the end of 2021. There was a ton of intense growth and self discovery for myself over the course of last year and to make sense of so much that happened within a short period of time I tried piling it all up in one place within this song. Iridescence means to show luminous colors that seem to change when seen from different angles. I thought this would be the perfect title to encompass my overall outlook on the past when looking at it from a newer, more mature perspective in the future.

"Bubblegum for the Brain" is a four track EP made by Yenny and @sirsteezwobbles . The title comes from a saying within Yenny's family; representing anything that is fun for your lil' noggin' to enjoy and relax to. Shawn Trottier, better known as Shawn Who, is a Native American electronic music producer and DJ, making waves in the experimental bass music scene. Hailing from the Spirit Lake Nation, Shawn is currently based in Saint Paul, MN, where he draws inspiration from his cultural heritage and diverse musical influences.

Shawn's journey in music began in the hip-hop world, where he honed his skills as an MC, DJ, producer, and finger drummer. Touring extensively with the Zen People across the Midwest, he shared stages with renowned acts such as Three Six Mafia, Nappy Roots, Zion I and more.

Transitioning into the realm of bass music, Shawn found himself at home as a resident DJ for the esteemed Sub:Culture collective based in Fargo, ND. He quickly gained recognition as a roster artist for Sub:Stance Audio, where his eclectic sets captivated audiences and supported artists like Joe Nice, Black Carl!, Saka and Attya.

Outside of his live performances, Shawn has made significant contributions to the electronic music world through his productions. Blending elements of hip-hop, turntablism, electronica, pow wow and reggae, his tracks are a reflection of his diverse musical palette and global experiences. Shawn continues to push boundaries and redefine the sonic landscape with his innovative sound.
