A self-made artist from Boise, Idaho - far from the world’s techno capitals - Shay’s rise has been one of pure passion, perseverance, and a unique sonic identity. Inspired by the euphoria of trance and the raw power of peak-time techno, she developed a signature style that balances ferocity with emotion, captivating audiences worldwide.
Shay’s latest work, “Unclose Me” (out on Kraftek), is a collaboration with Pleasurekraft. A poetic, borderline-romantic techno piece, it reflects Shay’s deep connection to literature and lyricism, and showcases her ability to channel raw emotion into the dancefloor. It marks another step forward in her evolution as a bold, genre-defining storyteller in techno.
Her breakthrough moment came with the release of “Memento” on Factory 93, which soared to #18 on the Beatport Techno charts and was featured on the label’s Best of 2023 compilation, placing her alongside artists like Space 92 and Nicole Moudaber.
