R&B & Me

‘Love Songs Over Dope Beats’ started as a concept project initiated in 2021. I reached a new level of musical awareness and was inspired in a few ways to retry my self-felt talents in writing music over instrumentals. As many occurrences in life, my dream and vision underperformed against my difficulties with EXECUTIVE FUNCTION, or as I like to call, DYSFUNCTION. 

As I attempt to create a new space from a new shelf in life, it felt intuitive and comforting (for the first time) to release the feelings of needing something to be perfect or up to par in order to release to the public. My goals were to professionally record a lot of these tracks in a studio with a clean sound. These tracks were recorded in the voice memo app to serve as a reminder so I wouldn’t ‘FORGET THE FLOW’ when I got to the studio. I never made it to the studio.. 

Fast forward to 2025.. I made an impulsive decision to move forward and act on the intuition to release, and let go, and be okay with it, without regret. The time is now and it took years on years of growth to even be able to sit with the idea of posting something ‘under quality’. I remind myself that this is for the LOVE OF ART, which has no rules, and that one of my greatest strengths in life is being vulnerable..

Most of these tracks are written, except for the ones labeled ‘ freestyle ‘, which are always completely off the dome. 

Stick around for the new sound coming, hopefully sooner than later.. that I literally just created all this space for.. let’s see how the EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING goes! ;)

What these songs have in common is LOVE, secondary is that they are WRITTEN, rather than FREESTYLES such as the EP titled, ‘Freestyles About Love’, which recordings all took place during the month of February in 2022. 

This EP, ‘Love Songs Over Dope Beats’, features the evolution of Adriel Flows as the music artist, among various personas. This project features work from the years 2009-2025.
