Sheldon Blackman: I Vote Love

From Trinidad to Norway??
Blackman Sheldon: Trinidadian arranger, composer, musician and singer who spends his time between Trinidad & Tobago and Norway. He was born in Trinidad in 1978. He has performed extensively throughout the world. From the Caribbean to the US, the UK, Europe, Africa, even to south east Asia where he performed with the love circle at the Rainforest World music festival 08 in KL and Sarawak Malaysia.  He was selected to represent Trinidad & Tobago at “Edutainment” a multicultural exchange programmer in   Norway in 1998 this was beginning of this engagement with Norway. He was invites again in 2001 and 2002 for the same project. In 2003 /2004 he was project manager of the Crossingover project #2 which brought 11 young persons from Norway to Trinidad for 6 weeks. He performed at the ABRACO festival 2004, 2005 he worked on a CD with the RISE project, a project linked to the group/resource centre, Afrikan Youth in Norway. Blackman was also invited to perform during the “Afrikan History Week” festival in Norway for the past 6 years and the “Mela Festival” in 2006 and 2008. He has since 2008 reside with his wife and now 2 children in Oslo. In 2009  he began work with the  “Nordic Black Theatre” where he continue to work and has establish  a very successful project call “Open Xpression”  this has become an import stage for up and coming artist of all kind in Norway. He and the Soul Rebels are the host and house band for Open Xpressions  www.nordicblacktheatre.no Cafeteatret. His album “Overflowing” was relist in 2009/2010 publish by New Music and distributed by EMI Norway.
Sheldon Blackman continues to perform in Norway, with his band “The Soul Rebels”  2011  they have  perform at “By:Larm” an import showcase in Norway, "No Siesta Fiesta festival in Tromsø", also  "Musikkfest Oslo”   2012 sheldon Blackman with his band realist his 4th album “Hope”  and 2013 Up close, his first acoustic.
