Louder Than Life has partnered with BET Music Matters to release a compilation album scheduled for June 23, 2014.  Music Matters artists are carefully selected and highlights the next BET superstars through music, bios, videos, photos and intimate interviews, where the artists explain who they are and what music means to them.  The album contains new music as well as previous tracks not commercially released from mixtapes or remixes.  Past MM artists such as Miguel, Melanie Fiona & Marsha Ambrosius have all gone on to great careers.   This compilation represents the best of past MM stars and looks towards the future of hip-hop & R&B’s bright stars.

After a year in the studio producing and writing with Duran Duran for their new album Paper Gods, Mr Hudson is ready to remind the world of what he himself does with the microphone. “Dancing Thru It” combines a gothic subterranean track and a trademark melancholic vocal to create a compelling if claustrophobic three minutes of very London audio. “Just ‘cos i’m living in Los Angeles doesn’t mean i’m going to start singing with an american accent!” jokes Hudson. 
The song echoes earlier Hudson offerings such as “There Will Be Tears” and his work on Kanye West’s “808’s & Heartbreak” and yet the production is very 2016. “It’s a balancing act between knowing who you are musically and trying new things”.
On the subject of Duran Duran “I put my own music on hold. I just wanted to focus on Duran Duran and give it 100%. The process inspired me deeply. The attention to detail and particularly Simon Le Bon’s approach to the microphone”
After a summer of getting settled in L.A. and working with Janelle Monae in Atlanta, Hudson is now turning attention back to his own discography.  “I’ve got a few bangers ready on the laptop. I’d like to get a few tracks out by the end of the year.”
