Honorary Mancunian natives and co-founders and residents of the infamous Meat Free parties, hailed as one of the wildest techno raves in the UK. The duo are revered in their local scene as much as they are championed by many of the artists and peers they have played alongside. With a symbiotic energy behind the decks whether at the helm at Manchester’s White Hotel, holding it down in Fabric or cruising into the early hours at Tresor, Blasha and Allatt bring it every time.

Fast and hard but always with soul, their sets are a relentless force that have blessed dancefloors such as FOLD, Printworks, Freerotation, Shelter, House of God and Dimensions Festival to name a few.

Never content to not push the boundaries of their music and of the scene, 2022 will see the launch of Frixxxion - a new inclusive space for queer techno raving in the heart of Manchester’s underground. And with acclaimed releases already on Ben Sims’ Machine and Blue Hour, expect to get even more familiar with the sound of Blasha and Allatt.

For the 19th episode of our Resilience podcast, we present the recording of Viels DJ set during our event of April 29 at the Nouveau Casino.

Class 1990, Viels was born in a little city outside Milan (Italy). Early in his adolescence he discovered techno culture inspired by a book called “TECHNO“ by Christian Zingales. Having released his first Ep on Initial Berlin in 2015, Viels continued his musical path appearing with a track on the well respected dutch imprint Dynamic Reflection, followed by his debut ep “Distrophism” and contributing for the 10 years anniversary of the label, among some of the most recognised artists in the scene : Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker, Shifted, Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Ness, Jeroen Search and many more.

Co-owner with Francesco della Sala of “End Of Perception”, Viels just released on label such Warm Up, Non Series, Semantica Records,Mord, Edit Select and Dynamic Reflection.
Currently resident at the well known Acquario party in Milan and with an increasing interest and having performed in quality line-ups around the globe, with the likes of Reeko, Oscar Mulero and Dasha Rush to name a few, Viels is establishing himself as part of a new wave of djs and producers approaching the contemporary techno scene.

Sunny Days and Chill Waves

Tonight, all rules are suspended. All identities are erased. Welcome to the Neon Purge, a lawless rave where the only governing force is the beat. 🎭 At the helm of this beautiful chaos is OZONE, a masked enigma whose glowing grin invites you to unleash your most primal instincts. Behind the eerie green light of her mask, she is anonymous, a symbol, a leader for a night of pure, unadulterated release. This isn't just a party; it's a riot of sound, light, and sweat.

The air is thick with smoke and anticipation, sliced apart by vibrant laser beams of every color. In this world, your name, your job, your worries—they don't exist. You are just a body moving to the rhythm, another masked face in a sea of euphoric anarchy. OZONE's colorful shirt is a stark contrast to the menace of her mask, a perfect symbol for the night itself: joyful, explosive, and dangerously unpredictable. She is the conductor of this glorious uprising, her hands deftly working the controls, building the energy to its breaking point.

The music is the soundtrack to this purge. It's a relentless barrage of hard-hitting techno, acid lines, and driving bass that commands you to move. It’s the sound of sirens in the distance, of joyous screams, of a system being completely overwhelmed by blissful rebellion. 💥 It’s a sonic manifesto declaring that for these few hours, we are free. We are untouchable. We are one tribe, united by the mask and the music.

Let go of who you are supposed to be. Put on your mask, literal or metaphorical, and join the riot on the dancefloor. Let OZONE guide you through the beautiful, chaotic purge of your inhibitions. This is your night to be whoever you want to be, with no consequences and no regrets. Let the neon wash away everything else. The purge has begun. 😈✨

#033 in Shelter's Live Series is Manchester-born, Berlin-based @Setaoc_Mass. 

Warming up the room for Berlin techno veteran Marcel Fengler, the new promise of Len Faki's FIGURE label delivered a stunner of an opening set. Slowly unfolding in the beginning, the three-hour ride acuminates into his well-known, high energy Techno at the end.

Zadig has mixed tracks from Conforce, Daniel Avery, Planetary Assault Systems, Psyk, Norman Nodge and Ultra Station to name a few of them.

Some upcoming dates. This weekend, on march 22, starts his Colombia tour with dates in Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Manizales and Pereira, and after that in april you can find him playing in Europe again

On the releases side Zadig just has released a split EP together with Asymptote on Suburban Avenue, there is an upcoming remix on the Rebalance imprint for Unbalance and he will release a track on Earwiggle, Sunil Sharpe´s imprint on the Eel Behaviour series

Denise is a pragmatic grounded artist with a clear vision. Her passion for music has led her to be involved in the scene on many levels; whether it has been as a booker for Berlin venue Ipse; a radio show host for the city’s Sweatlodge channel or a club promoter for her own night HIDE and SEEK at “Humboldthain”.
her first 12” on German imprint Mutewax in 2015. A solo EP on Arts sub label Arts Collective quickly succeeded her debut the same year, leading up to the label publishing her third release in 2017. This is also the year Denise actualized her own eponymous label Rabe. September 2019 she announced her EP „Manifesto“ on the well established label Stroboscopic Artefacts.

Rabe the label, just like its founder, is all about techno. So far, three hyper modern brutalist sounding 12-inches from Denise herself has seen the light of day. Rabe’s productions are frantic yet deep industrial adventures, all carrying a hefty gothic presence. Her talent has not only caught the ears of eager fans, but also of recognized producers such as Rrose and Shxcxchcxsh, who both have contributed remixes for the artist.
