So to say thank you for everyone who’s been listening for the last 100,000 plays I’m uploading a truly epic ‘lost’ track, GusGus ‘David (King Unique Remix)’ from 2003. The story behind why it didn’t come out is probably best forgotten, but the dispute had absolutely nothing to do with GusGus themselves. Don’t want to start any rumours ;)
As Soundcloud is particularly about letting you hear exclusive &amp; unreleased stuff I’m uploading three versions – the final one and a couple of earlier work-in-progress versions. We couldn’t decide on the best drop so we made two; then we still couldn’t decide so we ended up mixing them together – anyway, for those who are interested here are both the work-in-progress versions, exactly as we bounced them off at the end of the studio day 8 years ago.
Obviously it sounds rather dated now, long after electro-house &amp; glitchy techno have made all these sounds very common so enjoy it as a little slice of history :)
P.S. I would love to offer this as a free download but as a remix the song rights still belong with GusGus - so maybe go &amp; nag them? :)

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, but since 2005 he has been based in Montreal, Canada. Shelton has been deeply involved with music production for almost a decade, his first official release was in 2010 on Mile End Records. His music genres range from deep and melodic house to a more upfront and driving techno, taking influences from artists such as Murk, Matthew Herbert, St Germain, Angel Moraes, Dixon, Robert Babicz, amongst many others. 

Since 2010 Shelton has released several original tracks as well as remixes for a variety of labels namely Lapsus Music, Black Hole Recordings, In House Records, So Lifted Recordings and La Famiglia Recordings. He has received great support from artists such as Angel Moraes, Roger Sanchez, Hector Romero, Quentin Harris, Chus & Ceballos, Stacey Pullen to name but a few. 

He is also a qualified sound engineer and sound designer and he has successfully applied these skills for artists in the realms of programmer and or engineer. Shelton’s work can be heard on the following labels: Stereo Productions, Younan Music, Mjuzieek Digital, Xima and Jekos Music.
