Robert Calvin "Bobby" Bland (January 27, 1930 – June 23, 2013), né Brooks, also known professionally as Bobby "Blue" Bland, was an American singer of blues and soul.

Bland developed a sound that mixed gospel with the blues and R&B.He was described as "among the great storytellers of blues and soul music... [who] created tempestuous arias of love, betrayal and resignation, set against roiling, dramatic orchestrations, and left the listener drained but awed."He was sometimes referred to as the "Lion of the Blues" and as the "Sinatra of the Blues";his music was also influenced by Nat King Cole.

Bland was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1981, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame described him as "second in stature only to B.B. King as a product of Memphis's Beale Street blues scene".

Music has now become part of the art that characterizes the daily lives of people on earth. Because music has penetrated into the human soul from time immemorial. No we know music has become our friend from toddlers to begin today. In addition, the music does not restrict the status of the audience. Maybe when live without music, the world may feel lonely, empty and monotonous because the music is able to break the ice, the heart relaxes and stimulates the human mind as an actor's life story.

Music is not just entertainment effect, but able to give meaning to excite and to interpret the spirit of living life more beautiful. Listening to music, live and enjoy a fun activity and can make us comfortable. Is this effect that causes a positive reaction on human physical and psychological conditions, including me and us. Then if the actual benefits of music in our daily lives?
First, the music is beneficial to maintain a healthy and our immune because the music is able to produce a stimulant that is rhythmic. Because it affects the human body's metabolism so that it lasts the better. Metabolism which will lead to the body better able to build a better immune system. With better kekebalaan system, the body becomes more resilient to the possibility of disease.
Second, music can enhance the function of our brains work. This is in because the music makes the brain nerves work, a sense of comfort and calm that makes the work function of the brain to work optimally. If this is often done, the work function of our brain will be more excellent, so our ability to think more clearly and sharply, and can prevent dementia. Therefore, stimulation of the music that is played can also improve creativity, and to increase our concentration and memory.
Third, music can cause psychological reactions that can alter mood and emotional state, so it is useful as relaxation music can relieve stress, overcome anxiety, improve mood and spiritual awareness.
Fourth, useful music as a means of communication between people and media because the music is able to integrate differences, creating peace and human solidarity. Often the role and benefits of music as a means of interaction and communication media that can be understood by everyone, even if we do not understand the language of each people. In real life every single day, music is often a means of communication with our loved ones, representing the feelings of the heart, an expression of longing and even anger.
Relating to the benefits of music, types of music also greatly affect the perceived benefits everyone. For me, listening to or playing music yourself, can actually be therapeutic, especially when I am experiencing burnout, boredom, and confusion. Music can bring back the spirit and motivation to do something useful. With music, we are not only able to appreciate and absorb the rhythm of the tune, but also able to understand ourselves and others around us.
