Près de 7 ans après avoir lancé ses mythiques sélections mensuelles roots et dub, Musical Echoes propose désormais une nouvelle série de mixes : les 100% dubplates selections ! Au menu, que des dubplates au sens large : sur vinyles en série limitée, des vinyles ou acétates gravés ou encore des morceaux exclusifs sur tous les formats. Après le premier mix assuré par Max General de Roots Skankers (écoutez ici), c'est Weeda Jah Militant qui se charge du deuxième volet pour 87 minutes de rares trésors musicaux ! La tracklist reste exceptionnellement non renseignée, mais vous avez le droit de nous donner les titres que vous reconnaissez en commentaire de cette publication sur ce site (exemple : 27"40 : Junior Delgado : "Famine"...). Explosion Sound System, Northern Ireland’s heavyweight Dub Kings, are a Belfast-based collective who have been promoting reggae and dub alongside sound system culture for nearly 20 years.

The crew represent a mix of both classic and upfront modern reggae, roots and dub in a conscious style.

'This mix was recorded in our studio in Belfast on a cold afternoon.
A few of the crew got together and selected some of our favourite songs that we have been listening to lately. We set up the sirens and FX, locked the door, lit the fire and ran the tape...'

Indica Dubs special vinyl selection for Musical Echoes

Shere Khan is a London based selector, radio host, label and sound system owner and member of the Dub Vendor squadron. With a weekly show on London's LIFE FM, the Jungle Cat has been circulating dubwise at a high velocity for over 9 years. 

Shere Khan has played in many international countries including Greece, Croatia, Belgium, Geneva, as well as Columbia and throughout the UK. The Jungle Cat offers up an undiluted, raw, minimalist sound, having plyed his apprenticeship within the Channel One Sound System Academy. 

Also currently working at Dub Vendor and with the launch of his record label, Shere Khan Records and sound system many exciting ventures are in the works.
