The cosmic web is the building block of the cosmos – consisting primarily of dark matter and laced with gas – on which galaxies are built. And it is also the source of inspiration for the forthcoming release by Joseph Tagliabue, a sound engineer, selector and music producer based in Milan, Italy. His versatility and restlessness combined with sharp creativity are translated into contemporary themes brought to life through modern and innovative production techniques.

Owner of a sonority that seamlessly combines old and new influences, Tagliabue’s output has already found home in respected multi-genre labels such as Slow Motion, Sinchi, Pizzico, Karakter, Les Yeux Orange, IDA, Kalahari Oyster Cult, and now Glasgow-based Invisible Inc. with “Un' Altra Forma Di Vibrazioni” (“Another Form Of Vibration” in English), a nine-track (yes, all originals) LP forthcoming on vinyl and digital formats.

Throughout the album, Tagliabue explores so many textures and soundscapes, from ambient to experimental, from psychedelic to trance, which turns the mission of pigeonholing it into a specific genre a tough one. But yeah, let’s say it is electronic, shall we?

Premiered here, “Materia Visible” is a soothing and mesmerizing cut with a Balearic-meets-Downtempo-meets-Krautrock atmosphere, provided through Mediterranean percussive elements, smooth guitar riffs, fluid synth layers, and a gorgeous bassline.

The voice behind Mr Fingers and so many other timeless titles. He alone sums up our history, all the greatest tracks that paved the way for our sound & community (yes still though instagram & the self worships) since 40 years. The master sang for Larry Heard but also Frankie Knuckles, Satoshi Tomiie, Photek, Layo & Bushwacka!, Mr. C, Quentin Harris, Marshall Jefferson, Michael Watford, DJ Spen, Gene Hunt, Soul Clap, K' Alexi Shelby, Sandy Riviera and so many others! He is simply the greatest soulful underground vocalist for a generation of househeads. The Italian prodigy simoncino gives us a daunting ep of 6 tracks (!) which navigate between deep techno (that could be a easily played in Berghain) and the purest original house where he excels. Its inimitable style is a clever mix of chicago house tinged with the most classy techno touches. The Imaginarium is a unique pearl gleaming within the beautiful galaxy of Lithuanian festivals. Super small in size, yet abundant in beauty of all kinds, the festival is – first and foremost – about the joy of the creation process. This is an essential aspect of human growth that is often overlooked during modern-day events.

Pretty Much tribe nurtures a culture of support, mutual creation, and skill-sharing. With every third person of the community having learned how to use the DJ decks, it was only natural to take a step forward into music production. This is how five producers were paired with six beginners to go on a unique musical journey together for this compilation of six tracks. Each of them explores the idea of connectedness since the main theme of The Imaginarium VII was about transforming aloneness into oneness.

We believe that genuine and meaningful connections are what every human being truly seeks. The question then is: what if some of the energy put into hyping up people with big names was redirected into fostering co-creation? How much is it possible for a person to become more authentic & open up due to the environment?

To answer this, Pretty Much tribe has built a utopian village, where everyone is called by their name. An idealistic culture that values sharing over commerce. A space where every individual can bask in the sun of imagination by playing an important part in the collective. Get inspired to give in to oneness by immersing yourself in the ripples of ‘Echoes of The Imaginarium VII’.

FLAX is a German DJ, sound and concept artist, initially trained as a professional saxophonist. Her foray into DJing began with the founding of the network METAWARE Weimar in 2019. Alongside these diverse roles, FLAX developed as DJ a genre-fluid style, blending UK bass, experimental breaks, ambient and jazzy electro enriched with hip-hop samples.

During her musicology studies, she focused on the fields "music and well-being" and the history of electronic music, particularly in the context of "music & gender" in club culture. This academic journey inspired FLAX to explore fluid mixing and experimenting with ambient, sound art, and deep listening tracks under the same alias, reflecting a response to the societal pace.

Her progression into music production started with sampling orchestra pieces – analogue – and evolved this influence into a solo project – digital – with a collage-style approach, incorporating electro-acoustic sounds, field recordings, and other ideas. This evolution is strongly influenced by her DJ journey, creating a unique fusion of multiple genres. Currently, FLAX is working on her debut album project, processing and weaving together her diverse musical experiences.

Samuel van Dijk is an electronic music producer, sound designer and media artist from the Netherlands releasing deep electronic music as VC-118A, Mohlao, and Multicast Dynamics.

Drawing inspiration from technology, nature, film, and fiction, his productions and live sets embody a dynamic musical framework. Since the Dutchman surfaced as Mohlao for labels like Meanwhile, Field and Other Heights at the turn of the decade, van Dijkʼs music has found a firm position; the ethereal electro VC-118A project, deep ambient techno as Mohlao, and subterranean ambient as Multicast Dynamics.

Bobby Bricks (Dream Time, Sweden) will prepare us for liftoff. Please pay attention as our crew demonstrates the safety procedures. “Orchid Island” is an enchanting and uplifting number that conjures images of clear skies ahead, mysterious and magical. An ideal starter to our journey. The crew will be around shortly with drinks, so ease into Séculos Apaixonados (Future Times/40% Foda/Maneirissimo, Brazil) slow burning “As Velas da Cantareira (DJ Guerrinha Mix)”. Low BPMs and timely synth stabs bring this bright, leisurely track from Corcovado to your turntable. Great for beginning of the night drinks or post sunrise warriors. As we reach cruising altitude, C Powers (Sweat Equity/CGI, USA) wonky “Sky Miles” gets you moving in your seat. The Captain has turned off the fasten seatbelts sign so feel free to dance around the cabin. Breezy production with playful percussion makes this one dance floor ready. When we begin our descent, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Roy Comanchero (Running Back, Japan) “Moon Hike” welcomes us to Kansai International Airport, where the local time is shortly after midnight. It’s gradual, introspective pulse rejuvenates the listener after a long trip and prepares you for the night ahead. Be sure to check around your seat for any personal belongings and use caution when opening the overhead bins.
