Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. I'd like to think I'm a music enthusiast who enjoys diving deep into the early "golden" years of dance (and chillout) music.

Q. How long have you been a part of the Melbourne music scene? How did you get involved?
A. I've been playing records around town since about 2006, and started running some parties with a few friends shortly after that, back when electro house and fluro tees were the hottest ticket in town ;) A few years later me and my friend Andy Hart discovered there was this whole other deeper side that we absolutely loved and started the MDC series. Somehow it's still going after all these years!

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. After being locked down for most of this year, I wanted to channel the kind of vibes I would go for if given an opening set outdoors somewhere on a sunny afternoon among friends (hoping this won't be too far away now as things start to open up here!). The mix starts out slow and soulful and gradually picks up the pace with lots of 90s chillers and summery house nostalgia to get you in the mood. Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy!

    Lottie - Bushroot (Mr. G's Gone Deep Dub) - Duty Free Recordings - rel. 2000

    That's right, two dope, deep, dubbed out tracks, released a decade apart, combined for some new freshness.  Of course, both tracks sound good on their own, but you can't beat the combination of Lottie/Mr. G's rides and loops with Sabb and Elezi's kicks and dubby stabs.  Hope you enjoy!  I aspire to an all mashup set sounding this good before the end of the year.

Recorded at Detect Festival on our own @huettecollective stage: starts climbing fast into my usual high energy zone, then flips into completely different vibes for the closing (ended up playing way longer than planned). Mixed bag, but I kinda love it.
