Shermell Davis (Born December 23, 1984) is a Producer from Albany, Ga. Taking a liking to music at the early age of  4 years old,  because Sherm spent a lot time in his room as an only child, he would play the mini record player that played 45’s his father bought for him.  Sherm would keep his ear to the needle while studying the beat and melodies.  The beats wouldn’t leave Sherm’s head so at the age of 13 Sherm became fond of the Trombone in middle school.  Sherm stayed focused in school by staying in sports, band and arts. Also gifted in drawing, Sherm's teachers recognized this gift and entered Sherm into Local and National Drawing Contests, where he repeatedly placed 1st.  While at home after practice, Sherm would be consumed with making music beats and drawing his thoughts on the canvas. As his hobby developed, Sherm realized his potential to make money with his beats early on. By the time Sherm was 18, he worked with rappers like Ole-E and Big Nod of the group “Suthern Klick” who had a  recording deal at MCA / Geffen Record (1998-2000). Songs such as “Its Hell” by Field Mob and his debut album “If The Street Could Talk”….these artists played a role in Davis learning the “Ins and Outs”, and would later prove vital to Sherm making a name for himself.  Countless other Georgia artists like 2 Chainz/Tity Boy, and Dolla Boy of Playa Circle (Field Mob), Zaytoven (Artist/Producer), Colt Ford, Bubba Sparks, Jagged Edge, Ludacris sought Sherm for his original style of beats.  Sherm’s Florida clients include but are not limited to BloodRaw, Bass Legend Thrill Da Playa(69 Boyz) and Splack Pack along side Reggae Pioneer and son Lylod Robinson and Wayne Robinson.
      Working with BloodRaw and 2 Chainz was also a catapult to getting Sherm the producer’s “Star Status” hits along with the Production of BloodRaw “Ignorant Music” and “Soul Food” and latest project Indictment Papers 2 Shoe Box Money Hosted By Dj Drama.  2 Chainz hit single “Broke No More” featuring Texas Artist Trae Tha Truth launched the “Sherm Productions” viral stamp of approval.  After Davis’s bouts with his own company ceased, he launched the Company Grind Work Music Group and went back to his first Love – His beats. Sherm took tour with Field Mob where he was introduced to Kenjo, another producer working heavy with Field Mob from the hometown Albany. He also was being eyed by Chaka Zulu, Ludacris Manager. Sherm knew he had to keep these heavy hitters around to attach his sound to.  Sherm started to become a known face and talent, but the initial response was not as encouraging as he had expected so Sherm went back into the Lab; soon after Sherm got the call from Sugga Caine Films to score for a Maverick Film.  The Films entitled “Underground President," and "Warrior Blood" Winner of Audience Choice Award, Buffalo Niagara Film Festivals,and Palm Beach International Film Festival was released and distributed in 2008. Even though there were a lot of artists feeling his style of music,  very few returned the call to take on a serious musical project, until the artist by the name of “BloodRaw“ approached Sherm for what would be his 2 largest project to date, Producing  5 singles on the upcoming album “Raw Redemption” .  Today you can find Sherm back and forth from Florida to Georgia creating monstrous beats.  Sherm “Sherm Productions” Davis only 30 years old, when asked, “What’s next”?  With his normal, quiet and laid back demeanor, Davis says “I don't wan to be just another Producer from Atlanta but my short term goal is to be the one of the Hottest Producer in the South”, when God says it’s time to become larger, I’ll be prepared.
