This  song is dedicated to my son Addae who recently graduated from high school.  The Yoruba phrase Mbele Ase means Go forth with the power to change things.  The song has the upbeat tempo of a march to inspire courage and forward movement and to be reminiscent of the Freedom songs from the Civil Rights era of the 1960s and the AntiApartheid songs from the 1980s in South Africa.

This song is inspired by the Hawaiian prayer of forgiveness called Ho Opono pono.  I set this ancient prayer to music to inspire forgiveness and deep healing for families who are experiencing past and present emotional wounds.

Akaua Het Amu is my Native American name given to me by the Native American Spirit Kiki Tawa through a Spiritual Elder during a Cultural Ceremony.  The Spirit spoke to give me my spiritual purpose and to name me and remind me that My Heart is Cool, Not Hot with Fire.
