We are proud to welcome Groj (https://soundcloud.com/groj) on the label who has recently released his second album on Box Records. Without any doubt he has become a well defined artist on the Canadian- and international electronic scene, playing on festivals and releasing music on prestigious labels. His captivating melodies and hypnotic grooves won't let you down! Groj and Van Did (http://soundcloud.com/esteban-lara) have been working together for over 2 years now, and this is the first EP of many more to come as a result of this friendship. 

'Nati' is an uplifting and energetic piece of music, it has a strong groove and a driving bassline and got some early support from Max Cooper!

Aparde (https://soundcloud.com/aparde) is a talented producer from Berlin. Listening to his remix of 'Nati' you may feel like you're on board of a huge ship. We believe this is a monster remix that could drive whole dance floor crazy! 

'Phare' means light house in French and we feel like this image really makes sense with this track, so no much more words are needed here.

We are happy to welcome back PHM (https://soundcloud.com/phm), who has been releasing quality music on labels such as Cinematique, Wide Angle Recordings and Parquet. He delivers a fat remix of 'Phare' to complete this EP.

Le Grand Labyrinthe is the first single from Sezer Uysal's upcoming album '1 Body 2 Souls' which shall be released on Manual Music this October.

Born and raised in Bursa, Turkey, his love affair with electronic music started at age 17. His big break came in 2010 when his 'Singing In The Bathtub' track reached 1st position at Beatport's deep house top 100 and stayed in the charts for nearly 3 months after which he started working for Ministry Of Sound and Armada Music and touring the globe playing everywhere from Russia till Hong Kong, from Finland till The Netherlands and everywhere in between. '1 Body 2 Souls' will be his debut artist album and sees Sezer taking things a bit away from his trademark deep house sound, moving towards a warmer progressive melodic techno sound, a sound of course perfect for Manual Music.

So here's the first single 'Le Grand Labyrinthe'. A slow moving arpeggiator fueled tune with a captivating melodramatic mood. A true piece of electronic art which serves as a perfect appetizer for the upcoming album!

The first remixer on this single is the mysterious Mow which is actually the alias to a really well known German deep house producer who recently started Mow for his deeper experimental outings and deep this is! His take on the title track is dubby, deep and mysterious!

To complete this release we welcome back no one less than Kassey Voorn on Manual Music after his 'Stargazer Lily' release (2012). This Greek producer doesn't need any introduction and neither does his remix really. A straight forward massive dance floor bomb which will appeal to many!

I presume Herb means that inherently you cannot be commercial and artistic. You cannot be commercial and quality. I don't think calling something commercial tags it with a kind of an odious suggestion that it stinks, that it's something raunchy to be ashamed of. My Favorite Robot Records injects its latest Stimulus package direct into the musical main vein...

Over the last three years, whilst economic leaders and bank governors have struggled to get to grips with the unfolding fiscal challenges that have arisen globally, a trio of Canadian robots has been tirelessly working on their own form of quantitative easing. Since early 2009 James Teej, Jared Simms & Voytek Korab, collectively known as My Favorite Robot, have been releasing collected works from some of the hottest producers around on their eponymously titled label. The ‘Stimulus Packages’ have seen an eclectic musical mix featuring contributions from the likes of Kenny Glasgow, Nitin, Phonogenic & The Model to name just a few. They have provided a regular accompaniment to the labels artist focused singles and albums and have received broad critical acclaim and DJ support.

The latest installment, chapter seven, opens with ‘Against Nature’ by the excellent T.W.I.C.E; old school electro rhythms and synth stabs build over a densely layered backing creating a wonderfully off kilter slice of electronica that is a perfect opener for this latest stunning collection.

Next up we have the pairing of Sebastian Voigt and Eric Volta who deliver a superb bass driven, funk laden underground house cut that fuses rich analogue bass, skipping synth riffs and breathy vocals to supreme effect, quality stuff.

Nestled in the middle of the pack we have the latest offering from White Lions. The Lions provided one of the key cuts on MFR’s Fifth Stimulus package in the shape of ‘De Palma’, a record that was subsequently used by Jamie Jones on his Fabric compilation. For this latest package they weigh in with the excellent ‘Hjob’, a rolling and loop driven house cut with a deep 80’s style B-line and a distinctly cinematic sound.

The penultimate cut comes from Metrika & Bastard Love who deliver the excellent ‘You Owe Me’, a deep and brooding electro tinged vocal cut that is perfectly at home with the My Favorite Robot sound.

And finally we have Giorgio Cadamuro AKA Blind Minded who takes time out from his recording for Moon Harbour and Trapez to deliver the wonderful ‘The Achronic’, a slice of hauntingly melodic deep electronica with a broken beat feel to it, sublime.
Toronto’s finest do it again with a stunning package that is set to bring some audio warmth in the cold months to come...
