In 1994-96 Atlanta's Jimmy Lee (d), Dwayne Mickels (k) & genius record producer/vocalist Fred 'Freddy Boy" Sawyers, AKA "The Entertainment Store" came up with a concept to create a modern-day "Rufus" featuring the dynamic and powerful vocals of Sheryl Renee. Collaboration on 5 songs, resulted in 5 songs which stand the test of time... FUNKY AND RAW, they called the project BLUEFUNK! It also featured songs co-written by Kofi Burbridge, Jeff Rogers.
