SSSO MIX 010: Barrie

We’re very excited to have Santiago-based DJ, producer, and promoter Andrea Paz with a special mix for you all this month.

Andrea has been producing parties and concerts in Santiago, Chile since 2005. She began DJing in 2007, and quickly became known in the scene for crafting hypnotic sets that travelled through genres like techno, house, disco, post punk, experimental electronic and new wave. Andrea has become a key member of the alternative electronic music scene in Santiago, helping create renown underground parties like Club Sauna, Low Fi, as well as Recreo Festival. She also is a co-creator in the Discos Pato Carlos record label with her partners Alejandro Paz and Diegors. Andrea released her first LP “Cruz Dimensional” via Discos Pato Carlos earlier this year. 

Her mix features music from Muslimgauze, Telex, Cabaret Voltaire, and more.

SSSO MIX 011: Andrea Paz

For September, we have London-based DJ Lorraine Petel in the mix.

Lorraine Petel is a radio host, recapping the best in punk, garage rock, and hardcore from the last few decades.  Lorraine currently holds a fortnightly residency at NTS with the show Yesterday’s News, which has been broadcasting since October 2016.  Yesterday’s News also hosts international punk bands, giving the global punk scene a platform through radio - collaborating with the likes of Culture Abuse, The Number Ones, and London based record labels and shops.  By hosting Yesterday’s News, Lorraine has gotten the attention and the opportunity to work with Iggy Pop on his BBC 6 playlists, pushing the present punk scene to be heard on an even bigger platform. 

In this mix, Lorraine takes us on a journey that's sure to keep your temperature rising.
