Qilla Records proudly presents it's 30th release and the first one for this year! We kickstart a new chapter with Metha, one of Hungary's most popular underground Dj and Producer who's well known for his trademark sets ranging from breakbeat to a more raw-analog sound of techno. The release features two originals and two solid remixes. Gravity and Code are straight forward tracks that are very functional on a dance floor with a steady rolling low end along with a healthy dose of old-school rave sounds intertwined with bouncy melodic hooks and stabs. We have a strong dance floor burner of a remix by Vipul Angirish who's new techno project SHFT is taking everyone by surprise and just within a span of a year he's already had releases on Traum, Patent Skillz and Black Swan Recordings along with label boss Kohra. The second remix comes from Ejaz, one of Dubai's most respected upcoming techno acts and the resident Dj at Pacha, Ibiza (Dubai). His take on the remix really pushes things up a notch as he delivers a strong, hard hitting festival style version perfect for a hypnotic peak time set.

With a growing presence in the international electronic music scene, he brings a refined sense of musicality and energy to this collaboration.

‘Black Powder’ already starts with a classy housy bassline with a typical oldschool sexiness. Cool vocals support the synthline and the groove.
‘Propellant’ is a rather slow but even more powerful bomb of a house track. In the progress, 16ths hihats and arpeggios add even more drive and groove to this music piece. During the fantastic build up in the middle, this track will easily capture the attention of the whole dancefloor.

Frisson Records Australia-based artist, Tomchilla, takes you through a dark progressive journey with his latest creation entitled ‘Are You My Friend’, one told through the eyes of a young girl who lives in the forest. Her vocal is angelic and intriguing, coming from Tomchilla’s young daughter, Grace. BOHO and Rachel Raw have been grinding away for the past few years in the German techno scene from their hometown, Cologne. The two collaborate frequently both in the studio and on the decks, combining BOHO’s deep and focused sound with Rachel Raw’s heavy beats and hypnotizing melodies.

Their new EP, The Happening, stays true to their respective genre-bending catalogues. The title track displays a beautiful, spacey melody over a deep, techy bass line and driving groove. The Mr. Bizz remix thickens things up and takes it to the late-night dancefloor with a deeper and darker techno arrangement. Hansaring brings in the 303 for some acid-flavored progressive house, while Silver Stripe makes use of a filter-modulated bass and arpeggiated melodies to craft a hypnotic and exciting arrangement. Altogether it’s a diverse and unique set of sounds that showcases the German duo’s knack for interesting, genre-blending techno.
