Hailing from the sun-kissed shores of Netanya, Israel, shibumi is the brainchild of two visionary creators, Gili Eidelson and Shlomi Karnilov. Since 2020, fate intertwined their paths, setting the stage for a harmonious fusion of friendship and musical exploration.

Shlomi, equipped with an audio engineering background from the renowned “Sela School” —a womb for creators and students—in Tel Aviv, and Gili, whose journey includes Audio Production studies at “Collarts” Academy in Melbourne, Australia, constitute the dynamic core of shibumi.

The duo draws inspiration from the breathtaking beauty of sunsets and sunrises, moments that serve as a catalyst for their creative spark. These atmospheric transitions set the stage for the creation of sonic landscapes that transport listeners to uncharted realms.

Fueled by a profound passion for studying and researching the vast spectrum of sounds, shibumi embarks on a journey to discover unique hues within the musical palette. Their music is characterized by an atmospheric quality and a warm analog sound, inviting listeners into a cocoon of immersive sonic experiences. 

They firmly believe in the power of simplicity—70 percent of the content comes from the duo, while the remaining 30 percent is reserved for “Ja” inviting listeners to immerse themselves in their own imaginative interpretations.

Together, Gili and Shlomi craft electronic psytrance and minimal downtempo psy that defy conventional boundaries. Their goal is to create an immersive experience where sound becomes a gateway to the unexplored.
