CircoLoco Records’ string of top quality tracks continues with Map.ache’s ‘IZA,’ the first single from a forthcoming EP from the Giegling collective, the eclectic group of German producers and DJ’s responsible for a string of underground classics including Map.ache’s ‘Where Do We Go From Here’ and Molly’s ‘All Good.’  ‘IZA’ is signature Map.ache: melancholy and hypnotic deep house with warm bass, layered descending synth melodies and snippets of plaintive vocal. 

‘IZA’ follows the recent release of “On My Own Now,” the two-track single from DJ Tennis & Ashee featuring Lady Donli, and Skream’s smash, The Attention Deficit EP.

Exclusive Shayde feat. Rottler 'Obergeschoss'

Philipp Lenz and Richard Hoetter better known as Shayde, an electronic music duo hailing from Offenbach, Germany to the world, probably deliver one of the most touching tracks of this autumn. 'Obergeschoss', German for 'upper floor', is a 10 minute 31 seconds lasting feeling of melancholia, of hope tickling your skin and painting silhouettes in your imagened reality. 'Obergeschoss' is storytelling with excitement and severity, with sadness and loss and it's Rottler's voice and vocals that reinforce the instrumental, and it's Rottler's voice and vocals that tie the listener to the track, to the 10 minutes and 31 seconds, before he whispers the last words of a person's unfulfilled dream – in main clauses, concisely – just as the lyrical self asked for at the beginning of the track. And the perfect picturing of a perfect human is blown away in the last synth pads of the track, leaving you speechless, leaving you with the hope to never stop dreaming. Shayde and Rottler created beauty with fear, they created a bitter-sweet paradox; that of hope being existent as long as the music plays, as their music plays.

Shayde's EP 'Obergeschoss' will be released September 17th, 2018 on Connaisseur Recordings.

EXCLUSIVE: Shayde feat. Rottler - Obergeschoss [Connaisseur Recordings]

Surely one of the biggest underground tracks of the summer in Ibiza and beyond, ‘Don't Forget To Go Home' by Emanuel Satie gets  some remix treatment. The first part includes the Original Dub Version by Emanuel himself, a re-edit from Rebirth’s boss Shield and a remix from Black Loops.

A former Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1, and supported by names as diverse as  Sven Väth, Kolsch, Luciano, Dj Koze, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Claptone, François Kevorkian, and even Tïesto….'Don't Forget To Go Home' is a future classic, mixing jazz with deep house ! 
The track is a collaboration with the internationally renowned drumming virtuoso, percussionist, composer Billy Cobham and Nicolosi Production. The Jazz fusion pioneer has dedicated his whole life to musical exploration and creative expression,  working with artists like Miles Davis, Horace Silver and George Benson. 
The label boss Shield loved the track so much and decided to give the track his personal touch. The edit features a new afro rhythm pattern played by Carlos Santana’s percussionist Idrissa Diop, psychedelic effects created with the EMS Synthi Aks and an additional rhodes part. The result is fantastic. Emanuel delivers an exceptional stripped out dubby version, a bass-rolling peak-time house number for the dancefloor, while Black Loops, the italian house duo based in Berlin, strip the musical theme back for a deeper version with a funky disco vibe.

Today Maribou State announce 'Nervous Tics (DJ Tennis Remix)’ - the latest in a series of remixes to come from their new album “Kingdoms In Colour”, released on 7th September on Counter Records. Following a recent remix from Maceo Plex, and ahead of a forthcoming remix from Adesse Versions, DJ Tennis (founder of the Life and Death record label) takes on album highlight ‘Nervous Tics’ featuring Holly Walker on vocals with his classic touch, preserving the warmth and fragility of the original but rebuilds the track on a sleek, muscular 4/4 foundation.

As well as their upcoming Roundhouse live-show the newly formed five piece have now sold out all of their upcoming dates in 2018, and recently announced a headline show at London’s Brixton Academy on 7th March 2019 which sold over 60% of tickets in one week, as well as their first live tour of the US and further EU tour dates in 2019.

"Kingdoms In Colour” is Maribou State’s first full-length since 2015’s breakthrough debut album “Portraits”. The record entered the UK album charts at #25 and features singles ‘Feel Good’ - a collaboration born of their friendship with Houston-based trio Khruangbin; ‘Turnmills’ - aimed at raising awareness for the The Night Time Industries Association's #SaveNightlife campaign to protect the UK’s most vulnerable music venues from closure; and continues their long standing relationship with Holly Walker (vocalist on fan favourites ‘Steal’ and ‘Midas’) on ’Nervous Tics’ which is currently on the 6 Music A list.

Beginning life in 2011 as a project between Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, Maribou State had released a string of EP’s and singles before the arrival of debut album “Portraits” propelled them to the world stage. Spawning a live show that took them around the globe and included standout festival performances at Glastonbury, Bestival, a headline slot at Sonar by Day and Secret Garden Party; a 32-date European tour plus dates throughout Asia, Australia and America. They received radio support from the likes of Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and Gilles Peterson, multiple additions to the BBC 6 Music A-list, a 5-show BBC Radio 1 Residency, a slot on the legendary BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and performed a session Live from Maida Vale. Critical support came from the likes of The Guardian, i-D magazine and Vogue, with the album amassing over 80 million streams to date and drawing comparisons to acts such as The xx, James Blake & Mount Kimbie, as well earning them plaudits from the likes of DJ Koze and Bonobo.

Next up on Violet's Portuguese music label @naivetrax, Eris Drew and Octo Octa have teamed up for a rousing split EP, titled 'Devotion'.

According to the press release, 'Devotion' was "written in the weeks immediately before and after a special time the girls spent together in February of 2018, when Maya (Octo Octa) went to heaven and Eris Drew accessed the realm of the Motherbeat from a port deep inside."

Ahead of the EP's release on October 26, Octo Octa has shared 'Beam Me Up' (Goddess Mix). Filled with her lush signature synth sounds, the frenetic breaks and percussion in the track swarm around her gentle melody like hard-working bees trying to please their queen (or goddess for that matter).
