Born in Dublin and raised on the west coast of Ireland between north and south, Jacob Rochfort began to write music under the alias Sanguine in 2018.

Two years later with a string of releases on smaller independent labels (DCR, Chokibiki) and no plans to take a break, Sanguine has recieved consistent support from established Drumcode artist Rebūke.
 
Having been featured on every episode of the RRC radio show since it's inauguration, as well as massive names like NancyLive, Richie Blacker, Luciid and Modea also backing the project for bigger things.

Producing emotive, unique melodic techno - Sanguine has crafted a big room driving sound that will appease fans of fast paced, dark emotional music.

After appearing for the first time earlier this year on We Are The Brave’s very first compilation with their track ‘Resistance’, Liverpudlian’s KUSP are both accomplished artists in their own right. KUSP began as an experiment between two old friends rediscovering their love for dance music. Since mid 2018, KUSP have exploded onto the scene with releases on Sonusfield, Octopus and most recently We Are The Brave.

Already seeing plays on national radio and support slots with Amelie Lens, Dave Clarke and more, it’s fair to say we are just on the ‘KUSP’ of their potential!   Their first full EP on the label opens with title track, ‘Dominator’ - overdriven 909s meet sparse percussion and melodic undertones leading to a cheeky 90s vocal sample and complete dancefloor carnage. 

The slower, deeper ‘Be Free’ rumbles with menace before exploding into life. Strong melodics again take the lead in the main break. ‘Diss’ ups the pace and dystopian feel with a devilishly groovy machine funk that nods heavily to the 90s with class. Finally, ‘Bodied’ rips from the stalls with huge drums and sparse percussive elements are perfect for those late-night sweaty stomp-a-thons.

Funktion founder Shiels started out as a resident DJ at the local club night Killarney House Sessions, it was here Shiels started making a name for himself with his unique style and technical ability.

Skip on a couple of years and the Kerry native has seen himself play alongside some major names at some of Irelands leading clubs including traveling overseas to France to perform at a number of shows. 
Shiels plays regular shows alongside his other half K8lyn.
With their common love for house and techno the two came together and started their own club night "Funktion Events". Since the birth of Funktion the duo have been making waves in the south west of Ireland hosting some impressive shows, sharing the bill with the likes of Mark Reeve, Harvey McKay, Ejeca,  KETTAMA, MARK BLAIR, Dart, and Rebuke just to name a few.
