پياز چيز ديگرى است‎
 دل و روده ندارد‎
تا مغزِ مغز پياز است‎
 تا حد پياز بودن‎
 پياز بودن از بيرون‎
 پياز بودن تا ريشه‎
پياز مى تواند بى دلهره اى
 به درونش نگاه كند‎
 در ما بيگانگى و بى رحمى است
 كه پوست به زحمت آن را پوشانده
جهنم بافت هاي داخلي در ماست
آناتومي پر شور
اما در پياز به جاي روده هاي پيچ در پيچ
فقط پياز است
پياز چندين برابر عريان تر است
تا عمق، شبيه به خودش
پياز وجودي ست بي تناقض
پياز پديده ي موفقي ست
لايه اي درون لايه ي ديگر، به همين سادگي
بزرگ تر كوچكتر را در بر گرفته
و در لايه ي بعدي يكي ديگر يعني سومي ، چهارمي
فوگِ* متمايل به مركز
پژواكي كه به كر تبديل مي شود
اين شد يك چيزي
نجيب ترين شكم دنيا
ز خودش هاله هاي مقدسي مي تند
براي شكوهش
در ما
چربي ها و عصب ها و رگ ها
مخاط و رمزيات
حماقت كامل شدن را از ما دريغ كرده اند

The Onion
The onion, now that’s something else.
Its innards don’t exist.
Nothing but pure onionhood
fills this devout onionist.
Oniony on the inside,
onionesque it appears.
It follows its own daimonion
without our human tears.
 
Our skin is just a coverup
for the land where none dare go,
an internal inferno,
the anathema of anatomy.
In an onion there’s only onion
from its top to its toe,
onionymous monomania,
unanimous omninudity.
 
At peace, of a peace,
internally at rest.
Inside it, there’s a smaller one
of undiminished worth.
The second holds a third one
the third contains a fourth.
A centripetal fugue.
Polyphony compressed.
 
Nature’s rotundest tummy
its greatest success story,
the onion drapes itself in its
own aureoles of glory.
We hold veins, nerves, and fat,
secretions’ secret sections.
Not for us such idiotic
onionoid perfections.
