Straight in with the drums on this one, Eazy leaves little to the imagination with an instant impact from the off. The build intensifies with the shake of a tamborine growing intensely in the background before the drums muffle for the sound of a voice telling you that its just 'Business' and its time to pay! The drop is nothing short of brilliant with Eazy once again showing a very digital like sound in his production. A steppy number with a glitchy bass and a flowing melody which will have you throwing all sorts of shapes and bustin' all sorts of moves. Currently tearing up the scene with plenty of support across the jump up circuit.

Kung Fu Grand Master

Daunting from the off, the ever dramatic Eazy captures the attention via a bold outset with little but the odd cymbal for company. Creeping towards the introduction of the drums at the 16th, adding some more power to this already strong sounding track, while all the while coming to the forefront with some classic kung fu samples all combining to create a nice build for the drop. Stabs and waubs of bass in every 4 on this one, laid out beautifully to create that jump up sound thats so craved in the world of rave today, assuring us that 'Kung Fu Grand Master' is sure to be yet another banger snapped up by Shiftin Beatz.

 Calling all d&b heads!! It's that time again!! Shiftin Beatz return to bring you yet another smasher of a release and if you thought the first 2 were banging just you wait and see what we have in store for you next! Set to be unleashed upon the masses in less than a months time, SBZ0003 sees Walking Dead Recordings own Eazy returning for his second outing on the label. After kickstarting things off in blazing style with SBZ0001, we just could not resist dropping some more bombs from the Essex based producer, and it's plain to see why. The punchiest of drums accompanied by hard drilling basslines is a sound that's synonymous with the artist and as always he does not disappoint with his delivery! With authority from the outset, 'Typical Murderers' builds while incorporating them classic Eazy-style samples. Put it together with yet another unbelievably filthy drop from the up n coming producer and you've got yourself one hell of a crowd rocker! Punching the bass straight through your face from the second it drops, this one is not for the faint hearted! Expect to catch a moshpit or two near you whenever this beast drops! Following up this one then, with a tongue in cheek twist on the title, 'Dexter's Dab' intros by sampling a classic cartoon favourite before causing an absolute riot on the dancefloor with a drop that just screams through the speakers. This time round sees newcomer Hedex throwing down two massive tracks for SBZ0002 in the form of 'Unprotected Points' & 'My Way' with each drawing their own type of reaction from those lucky enough to have heard them played out live. From the dark mysterious first 16, to the introduction of the drums with some creative old school kung fu samples thrown in for good measure, all the way to the in your face back and forth drop that'll have you throwing shapes all over the place, 'Unprotected Points' is sure to be a hit on the raving circuit with both djs and ravers alike. SBZ0006 sees us delve into a bit more of the material currently coming out of the Disjointed Textures Audio camp. After featuring 'Power of Infinity' on the 'All Starz' ep last time round, to massive review and plenty of support on the circuit both in the UK and abroad, we decided to see what else they had up their sleeve for us. So they're straight back in with what can only be described as a huge double whammy in the form of the ridiculously authouritive 'Drowned Dead' & the equally as disgusting 'Be Quiet'. Both of which have been decimating dancefloors across the land and leaving a trail of destruction behind. No bassface required for this pair of monsters as the minute they drop you're sporting one like it or not!

Drowned Dead
Kicking off things with the darkly titled 'Drowned Dead', the initial outset may dupe you into believing that this will be a somewhat milder, easier on the senses bit of drum and bass production. However, you couldn't be more wrong. Once the drums kick in at the end of the 16th it becomes clear that it was all just a ruse and things are about to change. For once that gruff voice states the title of the track all hell is let loose! A massive attack on the senses is unleashed through the speakers as this one screams across the venue, with an extremely powerful high end cry that'll have ravers from the furthest corners of the building curiously searching for the source of the madness! Those who go to a rave to look pretty need not apply, this one is guaranteed gurn material! Brutal, hard-hitting and unforgiving. Just the way we like it!

Be Quiet
Moving on, although the previous track mentioned had a rather apt title, nothing could be further from the truth for the accompanying title. 'Be Quiet' is far from that as we get to hear them solid drums make their outing from almost the very beginning. With a 'kreeky' alarming sound for company the drums get going after the 8th, building and teasing us before everything dims down to allow for the vocal sample to lead us into the next chapter. A nice low end start before throwing in that hard decisive wah wah bass that gets the ravers going oh so crazy. Tried and tested on dancefloors everywhere, and the results speak for themselves. Sudden skank outs and an army of warfaces throwing hands in the air saluting the dj just goes to show that when it comes to Disjointed Textures and Shiftin Beatz the crowd just want more and more!

Shiftin Beatz Bio 

Based in Essex. Shiftin Beatz Records was formed back in 2013 by DJ AK and DJ Digibit as a joint partnership to source fresh new talent within the underground Drum and Bass industry and to promote their passion for underground music. 

Fast forward to 2017 and the label has had a slight 'shift' in its management with Co-founder Digibit leaving the label to devote his time to being a full time father. AK has since been joined by two new partners (and close friends) in Crabby and Crakey who have brought their passion for bass heavy music to the label. 

Shiftin Beatz has accumulated a mass of talent from producers, DJ’s and MC’s. Among the ever growing list of artist’s that have released on Shiftin Beatz are Eazy, Jayline, Complex, Hedex, Premium, DJ Limited, Dub Justice, Stompz, BeNNs, M.A.M.F Lyptikal, Jaxx, Sub Killaz, Simskai, Kezman, Silent Storm, Jack the Ripper, Disjointed Textures, Divided, Hives, Simskai, Skripta, Fraksure, Ironlung, Enta and many more. 

The label has historically focused on what’s new in the scene by keeping the music fresh and diverse with its wide variety of Jump-Up Drum and Bass. The love that AK, Crabby and Crakey have for the full spectrum of DnB is now reflected in the ongoing 'Shift'd Series' which was launched as an outlet to push and promote new artists to the scene that don't make the jump up music the label is known for but the team firmly believe should be getting showcased. So far this series has released vastly different music ranging from neuro/ tech to rolling jungle to lush liquid as well as high energy dance floor drum n bass.

In 2017 it's helped push names like K-i, Martyn nytraM, Critical Matter and Projekt into a wider audience and destroy dancefloor the world over with a variety of fresh forward thinking music. Aside from AK, Crabby and Crakey, Shiftin Beatz also has a very tight knit extended family of live DJs and MCs who work behind the scenes with promotion, mixes, artwork, press releases and much more. 

To date the live roster family includes members: - DJ Blazer, DJ Vex, DJ Harbz, MC YT, MC Kee-lo and MC Kruze. Within this extended family you also have MC Agzzy, MC Nabsi and MC Iffy who alongside Crabby and Crakey make up the high energy Elevated Sounds team. The DJ and MC artists roster have also been responsible for causing rave riots and wrecking rigs for high profile events and clubs on a world wide scale including booking for Rough Tempo, Let It Roll, SW4, Ram, Jungle Mania, Breakin Science, Next Hype, Invaderz, Innovation, Bpm, Ministry of Sound, Soul R, Audio Assault, Get Hype and many many more. Aside from live bookings, the Shiftin Beatz family can also be found representing the label on their own residency slots at Rough Tempo Radio with DJ AK's bi-weekly Shiftin Beatz show and Crabby and Crakey's Weekly Elevated Sounds. Both shows have seen multiple members of the live team team make guest appearances whilst also having artists releasing on the label guesting on their shows too Since 2013 Shiftin Beatz Records has become firmly established within the underground Drum and Bass scene and it is continually testing some of the bigger labels with their focus on finding new and original music regardless of sub-genre. Growth and promotion of their artist’s portfolio is key to Shiftin Beatz and it is clear that the standard is high, there is no imitating, just originating. 

The cogs keep turning in the Shiftin Beatz wheel and the label continues to keep its eyes on the underground.
