"Burdened" holds special significance for me, as it marks a shift in my perspective as an artist. As a perfectionist, I used to chase an unattainable ideal of “perfection” in my artistic endevours. Struggling to call a project finished, I would get stuck in an endless loop of revisions, which often led to it being shelved. The passion that initially drove me to create would wither away, replaced by frustration and a sense of inadequacy.

Over time, I’ve come to realise that the very concept of perfection is nothing more than a personal illusion. What truly matters to me is the love of creative expression—the passion ignited through the act of creating itself. Moving forward, I will continue to embrace and cultivate this shift in mindset, focusing on the process and the joy it evokes, rather than the end product.

"Burdened" was made over four years ago, and it has always evoked a deep emotional response in me. Yet, for some arbitrary reason, I never felt I could refine it to a state I deemed worthy of release, to be listened to and judged.

Perhaps, more than anything, sharing this track is an act of conviction—an affirmation of my changed perspective. By releasing it, I am letting go of the mental barriers I once imposed on myself and taking a step forward in my artistic journey. I hope you listen with an open mind, as I do the same.
