This is the third edition of this series "Music The World Doesn't Want You To Hear" which is really about exposing the deeper chilled music that doesn't get played so much when playing to an audience.

The Concept of MTWDWYTH started back in 2008 when I was mainly an vinyl DJ and one day I realised there were tunes I loved that never got played at gigs due to the fact that they were to chilled for most bar environments and at the very least I wanted to listen to them.  I revisited the concept again in 2010 after I become a Serato DJ, I was really happy with the result and it was received well and it got a lot of love in the community.  This third edition was recorded in a period where most of my gear was in storage so the focus goes back to the idea of its not about the beat matching and its just about the tunes themselves speaking and creating a flow.

ShiKung was honoured to once again represent the Uncomfortable Beats crew, this time at the iconic Rainbow Serpent Festival. As circus performers coloured the Fiasco Stage, ShiKung dug for tunes he loved to dance to, dropping a range of Lisbon Sound, Gqom and percussive party treats. A hypnotic Hoop Artist then joined him on stage, time dissolved and the beats rolled out.

ShiKung loves Music. ShiKung loves Rainbow Serpent Festival. Last year ShiKung played four different sets. Reggae at the Guerrilla Coffee cafe, Bass Music of the Fiasco Stage, Deep House on the Brink Theme camp and an urban soul set at the Uncomfortable Beats camp. In 2018 ShiKung would love the opportunity to present music on the Chill Stage. 

Having such a varied selection available and a very open idea about what “chill” means, ShiKung decided to set up for an Art exhibition opening, playing for the love and the art. Taking a moment to inspect the art before setting up, inspiration was drawn from each piece, from the titles, styles, expressions and emotions as well as meeting the artists beforehand.

Setting a tone of relaxed momentum, moving between styles with changes in mood and tempos.  Relax with a glass of wine and look thru your favourite art book and let the mood take you away.

Pauly Fawcett aka ShiKung has always been married to music. Known as one of Melbourne's hardest working DJs, you can find him playing 5 hour 'journey' sets at various iconic bars around the city. 
A dedicated collector of varied music both new and old, ShiKung primarily spins all genres of bass music. Currently a member of the Uncomfortable Beats Collective, DJ Shikung has supported a huge list of international artists over his 11 year career, and digs through record shops to find gems that will surprise and delight a crowd, whether a banging dance floor set or a laid back Sunday afternoon session. 
Some of the artists he has supported include Lauryn Hill, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Bassnectar, Harmonic 313, Digital Mystikz, Caspa, Distance, Jazzy Jeff + Mad Skillz, Dj Craze, Z-Trip, The Nextmen, DJ Vadim, Mr Scruff, Amp Fiddler, Roy Ayers, Shapeshifter, Elite Force, Meat Katie, Stanton Warriors and LTJ Bukem plus a slew of big Australian acts.
