Composed by Rabindra Nath Tagore at the age of 54. 'Jakhon porbe na mor payer chinho ei baate' is a song that portrays death and rebirth. It was first written as a poem and was later given the tune in Baul Sangeet style. 

The poet says, "when my footsteps would no longer touch these grounds, when I won't be rowing my boat in these waters any more, when I would be done with all the buying and selling, lending and borrowing, I won't be visiting these fair anymore, then, fair it would be to not remember me, to not look at the stars and call me, so you might forget me. But at the end of it all, who says I am not there in every morning play. Call me with a new name, here and then the same old me."
